TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS Read these Rules and Regulations Carefully. Failure to Read is no Excuse. The Tournament Shall Be Sanctioned and Open to All TNBA and USBC members and be operated under the Tournament rules of TNBA and USBC. An UNATTACHED TNBA bowler may participate in the tournament by purchasing an UNATTACHED TNBA membership card. Any entrant who does not hold or has not applied for TNBA membership prior to bowling will be disqualified. TNBA membership cards may be purchased at the site at a cost of $20.00 each. Unattached USBC membership cards may be purchased at a cost of $21.00 each. If cards are shown prior to the end of the tournament, refund will be made: $20.00 (TNBA) and $21.00 (USBC). 1. The Tournament will consist of MIXED TEAMS AND MIXED DOUBLES events. Teams on Saturday and Doubles on Sunday. OPTIONAL SINGLES while bowling doubles. 2. The Entry Deadline is July 3, 2016. All entries postmarked the first post office business day after the entry closing date shall be accepted. 3. PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Fees in the form of Money Orders, Bank check, and Certified Check must accompany entry form. Entry Fee $30.00: Prize Fund $17.50, Bowling Fees $8.00, and Expenses $4.50. 4. Entry Forms must show Full Name, TNBA and USBC Numbers of each bowler. Any omission will delay processing. 5. Multiple Entries Permitted. However, you can cash only once with the same partner or partners. Teams will consist of four (4) players. Any number of men-women combinations may be used in the team event. Doubles will consist of two (2) players. One (1) male and one (1) female. Optional Singles will pay both male and female. Also, a bowler will cash only once in Optional Singles event. 6. Entrants must use their highest sanctioned yearbook average, based on a minimum of 24 games for the 2014-2015 seasons. No Summer League averages may be used. All others must use their current League average at the time of bowling, based on a minimum of 21 games. A Yearbook average or League sheet signed by the League Secretary is required. If none of the above, the bowler must enter at a 210 average. USBC Rule 319-d, reporting prize winnings will apply. USBC Rule 319-c, Average adjustment will apply (rerated averages must be reported). USBC Rule 319-e Average Adjustment for Entry also applied. The 319-a Ten Pin Rule will be waived. 7. It shall be each bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of his/her average, whether submitted by the bowler, his/her team captains, or others. 8. If an entrant submits an average higher than his/her true average, he/she must live with the lesser handicap and no additional pins may be given him/her. If an entrant submits an average less than his/her true average he/she shall be disqualified and forfeit all prize money, and any other prize he/she helped to make. Verifications of averages of all handicap prize winners by Local City Assn. Secretary shall be required before any awards will be made and paid. 9. Handicap will be 90% of 210 for both men and women. Handicap will be figured individually for each bowler. 10. Replacements shall be permitted and bowler must bowl in the position of original entrant. All rules and regulations herein likewise apply to replacements. All changes must be made one hour prior to bowling. 11. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entrant not in compliance with the rules of the tournament. TNBA and USBC premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or causes relating thereto or wherefrom, fire, natural disaster or any other reason beyond the control of the TNBA LOWCOUNTRY Senate shall cause, to the extent required thereby, all prizes to be prorated in accordance with the number of entrants. 12. Team Captain must report to the Tournament Director’s office at least one hour before time scheduled to bowl and shall present their TNBA and USBC cards upon request. 13. Events will be scheduled in the order names are listed on the entry blank. 14. MIXED TEAMS and MIXED DOUBLES will be scheduled. No changes of lanes after each game in each event. 15. Errors in scoring must be reported to the Tournament Director’s office within 72 hours after the games are bowled. 16. Tardy players will start in the frames being bowled with zero being given for each frame missed. If a team refuses to start because a full-line-up is not present, they shall forfeit all games which they decline to bowl. No blind score shall be permitted and a bowler must bowl with his/her team, on the same lanes, at the scheduled time. 17. After entry has been received, no fees shall be refunded except in dire emergency such as strikes, lockouts, fires, etc., over which management has no control. 18. Prize fee will be returned 100% in the event which it is collected. There will be at least one (1) prize for every ten (10) entries in each event. For Optional Singles event, the ratio for men and women will be 1:10. 19. Tournament Committee’s time schedule will be final. Bowlers will be notified of dates and times assigned. 20. Lanes will be limited based on reserved entries received. Therefore, Walk-ins will be accepted based on lane availability. Walk-ins should inquire one (1) hour before an event.
