Fee Types & Fee Places
Notre Dame applies quotas* to the number of places available for each fee type. The
University's Admissions Office ranks applications and makes offers as follows:
43 CSP ~ Commonwealth Supported Place
17 BMP ~ Bonded Medical Places Scheme
Up to 60 Full-Fee
*The expected number of places available for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2017 is subject to change.
Full-Fee
You do not have to list a Full-Fee paying place as a fee option.
If you do list it as a preference and then are offered a Full-Fee paying place
and can not accept it, you will NOT be eligible for an offer at any other
university.
Applicants are made only one offer each year. Once you have been made an
offer, you are not eligible for subsequent round offers. If you decline your
offer you are removed from the applicant pool and can apply again next year.
Adding / Removing Full-Fee
• Only pertains to Notre Dame Sydney and Fremantle
• The only request for a change of fee-type that may be considered is a request to add or remove
the ‘Full-Fee’ category. For example, if you have listed that you will accept a Full- Fee place but
your circumstances have now changed so that you would not be in a financial position to accept
such a place, you may remove this fee-type from your preferences. Conversely, should your
financial situation change so that you could accept a fee-paying place, you may add a ‘Full-Fee’
fee-type preference.
• Applicants must contact the Sydney Admissions Office if they would like to add/remove the FullFee category from their Sydney fee preference list by not later than 4pm (AWST) 4 October.
• Applicants must contact the Fremantle Admissions Office if they would like to add/remove the
Full-Fee category from their Fremantle fee preference list by not later than 4pm (AEST) 4 October.
• If approved, changes will be confirmed by the University via email
• One change ONLY per application year is permissible
Special Consideration
• The University is unable to consider special consideration for your previous
studies/GPA/GAMSAT etc.
• Mechanisms would have been previously available to you (i.e. at the initial
and relevant period such as when undertaking your bachelor degree)
• The University will take at face value your GPA, GAMSAT score etc. (which
may or may not have previously been afforded special consideration)
Interviews
• Ranked for interview based on combination of GAMSAT, GPA and the
Portfolio.
• Approx. 300 applicants will be interviewed Sydney (subject to change)
• Interview offers made in early September
• Interviews held late September / early October
• Interviews (Multi Mini Interview (MMI) format)
Offers
Applicants are ranked by combining the standardised scores calculated from a
combination of GPA, GAMSAT and Portfolio with the applicant's interview
score.
• Offers released in November
