Parent Connection offers special events, an e-newsletter, and a Web site, www.pointloma.edu/parents, where you can find information on discounted hotels, send your student a dessert on his or her birthday through the Women’s Auxiliary, learn about contributing to the Student Emergency Fund, and more. The Parent Connection is spearheaded by the Parent Council, a group of six to 10 families committed to keeping you connected. The Parent Council helps plan New Student Orientation (NSO), Parent Weekend, and Grandparent Weekend. After eight years of service, Parent Council presidents Scott and Shelly Tutt are preparing to “graduate” in May along with their daughter, Katie.
