Lisa Rodgers

Ultimately Jazzy, she’s Lisa “The Queen
of Clubs” Rogers. Currently residing in
Houston, Rogers is one of the most prominent club promoters in the industry. Her
parties are laced with the best Entertainers
and Profile Celebrities in the Entertainment Field. From Music to Sports you’ll
find her networking and building bridges
through media, all while setting the tone
for a great atmosphere. Upon making her
acquaintance it was discovered that she
has a genuine love for bringing people together and conducting business on an eminent platform of professionalism. Both
Beautiful and Business Savvy, Rogers has
firmly placed her mark on becoming a
trendsetter in the industry and holding the
title as the “Queen of Clubs”. (Big Ups to

asked about her success here’s what she
had to say:
ONNEY: How long have you been in
the promotion industry?
LISA ROGERS: I have been promoting events for 20 years and running.
ONNEY:
What inspired
you to become
a promoter?
LISA
ROGERS: I
always loved
to bring people together. I
enjoy watching
people
laughing,

dancing and
having fun! Why not make a career of it?
ONNEY: What are some of the largest
parties that you have promoted over the
tenure of your career as a promoter?
LISA ROGERS: I have done all three
of Andre Johnson’s Celebrity weekends as
well as Steve Francis' Welcome Back to
Houston. Of course Milkshake at The
Mbar, (which ran for 3 years) is where I
think I get the most recognition. We saw a
different celebrity and entertainer every
week at the Mbar...it was consistently the
best place to party!
ONNEY: How did you get the title of
the "Queen of Clubs"?
LISA ROGERS: A photographer for
Alltheparties.com named Wiley gave me
the name and
it stuck! I love it!
ONNEY: Being a female promoter in
a male driven industry, what were/are
some of the obstacles that you face in order to be as successful as you have become?
LISA ROGERS: It has been said that
it’s a man's world, but not in my case.
Hate has probably been my biggest obstacle. So many people spend so much time
worrying about me and what I'm doing,
that I don't see how they find the time to
tend to their own business. I have learned
to use the hatred to my benefit. My Daddy
says if they aren't talking about me I must
not be doing anything worth while...
ONNEY: Is there any advice that you
would give to the new breed generation of
female club promoters?
LISA ROGERS: All I can say is, make
sure you have tough skin. People are always looking
at your flaws and waiting for you to
fail. Don't let them bring you down.
ONNEY: What clubs are you promoting in Houston on a weekly basis?
LISA ROGERS: Thursday’s there’s
the Milkshake at Level, Saturday’s there’s
The Fly Sh*t @ Glo, and Sunday’s there’s
Plan B @ Belvedere
ONNEY: Any upcoming events that
the readers should be aware of?
LISA ROGERS: Well this may seem
far away, however, my birthday this year
will be a destination celebration, so get

ONNEY: Anyone in particular that you
would like to acknowledge in reference to
your career becoming a huge success?
LISA ROGERS: I started out working
for Von McDaniel of Cheeks 22, and then
I was blessed to meet my partner Steven,
who helped me blossom into the promoter
I am today! I can't forget about my DJ's
and MC Kane...without them there would
be no party!

Hi my name is Nikia, I am twenty-seven years of age from a small town called Beaver Falls, Pa but I now reside in Pittsburgh. The reason I choose to begin modeling was because it has always been something that I wanted to do. I thank
my family and friends for backing me giving me 100% also helped me with my decision about getting into the business

Ozone awards announced
ATLANTA – OZONE Magazine
(www.ozonemag.com) today announced
the presenters and performances for its
3rd annual Ozone Awards. T-Pain and
Rick Ross will help headline the show’s
chart-topping musical talent. Other performers will include The Game, Plies,
Bun B, Lil Boosie, DJ Khaled and Trick
Daddy.
Presenters for the awards include Flo
Rida, Young Buck, Soulja Boy, Pitbull,
Bow Wow, Trina, David Banner, Ray J,
Lloyd, C-Murder, Mya, Paul Wall and
Chamillionaire. They will be handing
out awards in over 25 categories including “Best Rap Album”; “Breakthrough
Artist”; “Best Rap Group”; Best Video”;
“DJ of The Year”; and the newest “Pimp
C Award (TRILLEST ARTIST).” A full

Topping this year’s performances
will be a Pimp C tribute set, orchestrated
by fellow UGK member Bun B. The set

The OZONE Awards is the grand finale of TJ’S DJ’S Tastemakers Only

weekend long celebration of the top

Wayne, T.I., and Young Jeezy will all
