This year is the ​
Whyte Avenue Art Walk’s 20​
anniversary ​
and will be celebrated with an exciting mural project! The festival started with thirty artists and has grown to over four hundred artists over the last two decades. The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is a visual arts festival bringing local artists to the Old Strathcona district to display their Fine Art in various mediums. This festival allows the public to interact with artists and offers the opportunity to buy original artwork and support the local art community. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary, The Art Walk and the Varscona Hotel want ​
YOU​
to create a mural to showcase during the festival!! The mural will be on the north side of the Varscona Hotel (​
8208 106 Street). The dimensions of the wall are 87ft X 25ft (please see attached photo). It is not a requirement to fill the whole back wall.​
All styles and materials for the mural are welcome along with collaborations from many artists. Budget:​
$2000 ­ $10,000 (all inclusive) Deadline for Submissions:​
