18th IARU Region 1 ARDF Championships

Venue:
The 18th IARU Region 1 ARDF Championships will be held in Baile Felix thermal spa
resort near the commune of Sanmartin in Bihor County, Transylvania, Romania.
Baile Felix is located 8 km south of the municipality of Oradea (seat of Bihor County)
and 22 km south-east of Bors (border checkpoint to Hungary).

Very important information
All IARU Region 1 member societies must have fulfilled all their financial
obligations to Region 1 till the end of August 2011. Otherwise they will be allowed
to participate in the Championship unofficially only (i.e. not to be ranked and not to be
awarded medals).

Map and terrain
Scale 1:15000 (2m, 80m bands), 1:5000 (Sprint competition), contour intervals 5
meters, Size A4, IOF standard, non waterproof
Transportation by own bus/cars
Baile Felix is situated 8 km south from Oradea. If you travel through Budapest you
have to come on highway until Debrecen. From Debrecen to Oradea there are traffic
signs. If you travel through Bucharest you have to follow the direction Pitesti –
Ramnicu Valcea – Sibiu – Aiud – Turda – (on highway) – Cluj Napoca – Alesd –
Oradea – Baile Felix. For the location of Hotel Termal in Baile Felix please check the
map bellow.
Transportation by air or by regular international bus line
Transportation from airports or bus stations can be aranged. Locations and prices for
transfer to Baile Felix can be found in the Bulettin No. 2. If such transportation is
needed please fill appendix 3 fron Bulletin No. 2 and send it to
[email protected] or [email protected].
Information for the trainings before the Championships
Training dates are 31.08 (2m band), 01.09 (80m band), 02.09 (Sprint), 03.09 (2m
band), 04.09 (80m band).
Basic trainings costs are 5 Euro per person per training – without accommodation
and transportation to/from training areas.
Accommodation and full board for Euro 30 - per person per day for the .....
Accomodation for the training week will be in Carmena and Davidof Hostels.
