And it’s a storied backdrop to 24 years of Birdland memories already etched into our collective conscience, and countless more waiting to be lived. As fans celebrate another season of Orioles Baseball, the ballpark stands ready to deliver even more unique experiences, unrivaled service, and a legendary fan environment that is second to none. A FAN’S GUIDE TO ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS A ADDRESS/PHONE NUMBER Baltimore Orioles Oriole Park at Camden Yards 333 West Camden Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201 Phone: 888-848-BIRD (2473) Fax: 410-547-6277 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SERVICE Vending of alcohol in the stands will conclude at the end of the 7th inning, or three hours after the scheduled first pitch, whichever comes first. Concession stand sales of alcohol will be terminated at the end of the 8th inning, or three and a half hours after the scheduled first pitch, whichever comes first. All vendors require a valid state or government-issued ID for the purchase and consumption of alcohol within the park. There is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per person, per transaction with valid ID. The Orioles, as well as our vending and concessions partners, reserve the right to refuse sale/ service of beverages to anyone who appears to be intoxicated or is without valid ID. ALL-STAR CAFÉ The All-Star Café is a marketplace-style food court featuring a rotating menu of cooked to order entrees, including Boog’s 3 Fan’s Guide BBQ. The Café, which celebrates the two MLB All-Star Games hosted by the City of Baltimore in 1958 and 1993, is open to all Club Level patrons before and during the game through the 5th inning. ANIMALS Service animals are the only animals permitted within the gates of Oriole Park at Camden Yards. ANTHEM SINGERS See “National Anthem.” ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES Assisted listening devices for the hearingimpaired are available at the Fan Assistance Centers behind home plate on the Lower Level Concourse and on the first floor of the Warehouse. AUTOGRAPHS Time permitting, players and coaches may sign autographs from the time the gates open until 45 minutes prior to the start of each game. At that time, ushers will ask fans to return to their seats. Additionally, every Monday and Thursday game, former Orioles will be signing autographs on Eutaw Street as part of the Orioles Alumni Autograph Series. For additional information, please visit orioles.com. Scheduled autograph sessions will also take place at various locations around the region throughout the season and are posted at orioles.com. AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE (ATMS) A total of five Bank of America ATMs are located throughout the ballpark. Two ATMs are located at the north end of the Warehouse near Gate H along Eutaw Street. One is located adjacent to the First Aid section near Gate D on the Lower Level Concourse. There is one in the Upper Level Home Plate Plaza elevator entrance across from section 336, and one on the Club Level across from section 242-244. B BAGS All items that are allowed into the ballpark will be inspected. Purses, diaper bags, backpacks, and camera bags will be permitted into the ballpark, but items must fit into a 16” x 16” x 8” box. Bags on wheels are prohibited. BALTIMORE ORIOLES CHARITABLE FOUNDATION The Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation is very active in the community and makes donations to various local, civic, and charitable organizations as part of the OriolesREACH efforts. BANNERS/SIGNS The Orioles welcome fan support in the form of handmade banners and signs. To ensure that all fans will have an unobstructed view of the ballgame, the Orioles do not permit the hanging of banners anywhere in the ballpark. Banners may only be displayed before and after the game and between innings. Banners are subject to confiscation if the content is commercial, political, and/or in bad taste according to the Orioles’ discretion. The Orioles reserve the right to remove any banner at any time. Banners or signs must be made of a light, flexible material, such as paper or cloth, and cannot be made of wood, metal, or other inflexible materials that could be dangerous in a public setting. BATTING PRACTICE Typically, batting practice begins two and a half hours before each home game, and fans are able to enter Oriole Park beginning two hours prior to game time. Times are approximate, and pregame practices are subject to change or cancellation. BICYCLE PARKING The Orioles have added a designated Bicycle Parking Area to accommodate over 100 bicycles located just outside Gate C along the south side of Oriole Park. While the area will be supervised during games, owners are advised to lock up their bicycles when not in use. The Orioles and Maryland Stadium Authority are not responsible for stolen or damaged bicycles or other personal property. BIRDLAND PASSPORT The Birdland Passport program is designed to reward fans who attend games at Oriole Park and at the ballparks of the Orioles’ minor league affiliates. Register for your passport at Oriole Park at the Fan Assistance Center in the Warehouse or at one of the five Oriolesaffiliated ballparks in the Mid-Atlantic (Norfolk, Bowie, Frederick, Delmarva, and Aberdeen). Fans who visit a certain number of ballparks are eligible to receive a limited edition item. Fans who visit all six parks are entered to win a trip for two to Spring Training at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Fla. Additional details can be found at orioles.com/passport. Oriole Bird Visit: Fans can have the Oriole Bird visit you while you are here at the game. You select the inning, and for a $75 donation to the Orioles Charitable Foundation, with proceeds going to Shannon’s Fund, the Bird will bring a goody bag to the birthday boy or girl right at his or her seat! BISTRO TABLES Bistro Tables are available for small groups in the left field area of Oriole Park’s Club Level. Each table seats four fans, and comes with access to the Left Field AllInclusive Picnic Perch menu. 5 Fan’s Guide BOOG’S BBQ Located under the orange tent behind the center field bleachers on Eutaw Street is Boog’s BBQ. During many Orioles home games, Boog Powell, the former All-Star first baseman, can be found signing autographs and serving up some of Maryland’s finest barbecue beef, pork, and turkey. Boog’s BBQ is also served in the All-Star Café on the Oriole Park Club Level. BREEZEWAY The Breezeway is the area just outside Gate A that allows fans to walk under the south end of the Warehouse toward the MARC Trains and the Light Rail. It is also a designated drop-off/pick-up point for handicapped and/or elderly fans. BUDWEISER GOOD SPORT PROGRAM The Baltimore Orioles, Anheuser-Busch, and Delaware North Sportservice have teamed up to offer the Budweiser Good Sport Program, formerly the Designated Drivers Program, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Fans of legal drinking age, who hold a valid driver’s license, can pledge to be a designated driver for their group by signing up at the Budweiser Good Sport Booth located near the Fan Assistance Center at Gate E on the Lower Level Concourse. By signing a pledge not to drink alcoholic beverages during the game and ensure members of their group have a safe ride home, designated drivers will receive a coupon that can be redeemed at any Oriole Park concession stand for a free soft drink during the CAMERA/VIDEO EQUIPMENT Guests are welcome to bring cameras and video recorders into the ballpark for personal use. However, any photographic equipment cannot be used to reproduce the game and must not interfere with other fans’ enjoyment of the game. CHARGING STATIONS Charging stations for mobile phones and devices are available, courtesy of AT&T, at two locations on the Lower Level Concourse (across from section 40 and section 78), on the Club Level across from section 242, and on the Upper Level Concourse inside Fan Assistance behind home plate. The menu features upscale American fare and is highlighted by specialty beers brewed on-site. Stop in before the game to catch up with friends and watch the latest sports action of the day. Take a break in the climate-controlled bar and restaurant throughout the game, or come after to grab a late bite to eat. DESIGNATED DRIVER BOOTH See “Budweiser Good Sport Program.” DRINK RAIL SEATING Drink Rail Seating has been added on the Club Level in left field to give fans an open, more social environment to watch the game and cheer on the Orioles. Tickets are available individually or as part of a group order, and come with access to Oriole Park’s exclusive Club Level. E EQUAL ACCESS ACCOMMODATIONS Complete information on Equal Access accommodations at Oriole Park can be found at orioles.com. Parking: Accessible parking spaces have been reserved for disabled Season Plan Members utilizing equal access seating. Plan Members are encouraged to contact their Personal Account Representative to make arrangements to purchase these limited number of passes. The remaining accessible individual parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are located in Lots A and B. Parking in these spots requires a stateissued handicapped license plate or hangtag. Should these extra spaces be filled, attendants will direct fans to the nearest open parking or to the stadium’s designated drop-off areas. Drop-Off Areas: For any car or bus, we have three drop-off areas available to both drop off and pick up passengers. Dropoff points are available at the east side of the Warehouse at the Breezeway (directly next to Gate A), at Home Plate Plaza on the Russell Street service drive (next to 7 Fan’s Guide Gate D) and at the north end of the service drive (next to Gate F). Calling Fan Services at 888-848-BIRD in advance of the game is recommended to make arrangements to utilize these drop-off points. Seating: Wheelchair accessible seats are located throughout the ballpark in virtually all ticket categories. These seats may be purchased in advance by calling the Orioles at 888-848-BIRD or by visiting the Oriole Park Box Office. Escalators/Elevators: Escalators are available to reach the upper levels of the park near first base and in the left field area. Elevators are available behind home plate (near section 36) and in left field (behind section 78). EUTAW STREET Eutaw Street is the festive area located between the Warehouse and the ballpark. Eutaw Street is open daily; however, for 7:05 p.m. games, Eutaw Street closes at 3:00 p.m. to the general public. At 5:00 p.m., it re-opens, along with the entire ballpark, to fans holding tickets for that night’s game. Fans with game tickets are free to roam Eutaw Street, as well as the bleachers and Flag Court in search of batting practice home run balls and to enjoy any of the carnival-style attractions and concession areas, including Boog’s BBQ, located up and down the street. Access to the Orioles Legends Park is also available when the Eutaw Street gates open. Fans strolling down Eutaw Street might look for any of the following: the brass baseballs embedded into the sidewalk marking the spot where home runs cleared the right field fence and landed on Eutaw Street; a plaque to mark the spot where Ken Griffey, Jr. hit the Warehouse during the 1993 All-Star Home Run Hitting Contest; and, just outside the north end of Fan’s Guide 8 A FAN’S GUIDE TO ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS Eutaw Street, are the four-foot aluminum monuments depicting retired Orioles uniform numbers and the Babe Ruth statue. F FAN ASSISTANCE CENTERS The Fan Assistance Centers, located behind home plate (on both the Lower and Upper Level Concourses) and in the Warehouse (near Gate H on the first floor), operate from the time the gates open until 30 minutes after the game ends. At these locations, fans may obtain information, offer suggestions, and receive assistance with any situation that may occur during their visit to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. FAN CODE OF CONDUCT Courteous behavior is expected of all fans. Any fan infringing on another fan’s enjoyment of the game is subject to ejection from the ballpark. Our staff will intervene when necessary to support an environment where fans can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors: Foul/ abusive language or obscene gestures; intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption; displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting; obscene or indecent clothing; any disruption to the progress of the game by a fan’s action or unauthorized persons on the playing field; fans seated in a location other than their ticketed seat. If anyone is interfering in another fan’s enjoyment of the game, they are encouraged to contact the nearest usher or visit one of our three Fan Assistance Centers. FAN FEEDBACK The Orioles are interested in our fans’ opinions and feedback. Throughout the season, fans can provide their feedback through in-park surveys, visiting one of our 9 Fan’s Guide three Fan Assistance Centers, or emailing [email protected]. FIRST AID First Aid rooms are located behind home plate on both the Upper and Lower Level Concourses. Registered nurses, a doctor, and paramedic units are on duty during each game. FIRST TIME VISITORS We welcome all of our first time visitors and would like to help make sure that your first visit to Oriole Park is the experience of a lifetime. To get started, we recommend the following unique attractions at the ballpark: • Visit any of our three Fan Assistance Centers for a free certificate commemorating your first visit to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. • Stroll along Eutaw Street and be sure to visit Boog’s BBQ and try Oriole Park’s signature dish. • Visit the Orioles Legends Park, located in centerfield beyond the bullpens, featuring six larger-than-life bronze sculptures of the greatest Orioles of all time. • Try a Camden Yards Crabcake or Chesapeake Waffle Fries, delicious fries topped with homemade crab dip. During your visit, please feel free to stop at one of our Fan Assistance locations or ask an usher if you have any questions. FLAG COURT The Flag Court is located between the right field out-of-town scoreboard and Eutaw Street. Each American League team has a flag which is flown in order of the divisional standings. This is a popular spot for standing room only patrons to watch the game. FREE STATE PUB The Free State Pub is located on the Lower Level Concourse on the third base side and provides fans with a choice of locally produced craft beers. G GATE OPENING TIMES For all Orioles home games, all gates will open two hours prior to game time to allow fans to enter the park. Gate opening times are subject to change. More information is available at orioles.com. J JUNIOR ORIOLES DUGOUT CLUB The Junior Orioles Dugout Club is the official Kids Club of the Baltimore Orioles. Kids ages 14 and under who join the Club will receive a membership card, sunglasses,a lanyard and ticket holder, a subscription to Orioles Kids magazine, an Orioles hat, sunglasses, tickets to six pre-selected Orioles games, and more, all in a team messenger bag! Friends and family members of Dugout Club members can purchase tickets on Dugout Club days for as low as $6 each. And fans can even upgrade to lower level seats. Children who have reached the age of 3 require a regularly priced ticket. Children are not permitted to remain in strollers, which must fit under your seat to be allowed into the seating area. Larger strollers must be checked at our Stroller Parking area inside of Gate G on the lower concourse. Children 3 years and older are encouraged to become a member of the Junior Orioles Dugout Club (see Junior Orioles Dugout Club). KIDS’ CORNER The Kids’ Corner is located near Gate C and features entertainment for younger fans, including a moon bounce, speed pitch, climb and play area, a batting cage, larger-than-life Oriole Bird bobbleheads, and much more! KIDS RUN THE BASES After every Sunday home game, kids ages 14 and under are invited to take the field and run the bases like their favorite Orioles players. L LEFT FIELD ALL-INCLUSIVE PICNIC PERCH With the Left Field All-Inclusive Picnic Perch, fans receive a Left Field Club Box seat (sections 282-288), access to the exclusive Club Level at Oriole Park, as well as unlimited hot dogs, salad, nachos, 11 Fan’s Guide soda, and other select menu items. Fans who purchase Left Field All-Inclusive Picnic Perch tickets should show their tickets or vouchers on the day of the game at the booth behind section 282 to have their ticket stamped. LICENSE PLATES Show your Birdland pride with an Orioles cartoon bird license plate. The Orioles license plate is perfect for every O’s fan who is also a Maryland resident. Simply visit orioles.com/plates and then download, complete and return the form to the Orioles as instructed. A complete FAQ is also available online. License plates are $50, with half of the proceeds benefiting the Orioles Charitable Foundation. More than $110,000 has been raised for the Foundation since the license plate program’s inception. LOST AND FOUND Lost and found items should be taken to any Fan Assistance Center. Fans inquiring about lost items should call the Orioles Sales and Fan Services Department at 888-848-BIRD. If there is an emergency regarding lost keys, wallet/purse, or other similarly valuable items at a game, you may call the Ballpark Operations Department at 410-547-6181 up to one hour after the final out. In order to make sure that your situation is addressed in a timely manner, please do not leave a voicemail at this number. If a representative from Ballpark Operations is not available to assist you, please call 888-848-BIRD the following day. LOST PARENTS/FOUND CHILDREN Children who cannot find their parents should go to any Fan Assistance Center. Parents looking for their children should also go to the Fan Assistance Centers. In order to prevent lost children, Seat ID Bands are available to all fans at any of the Fan Assistance Centers or at the Concierge Desk on the Club Level. ID Bands are especially helpful for children who may be separated from their group while at the ballpark. N NATIONAL ANTHEM To be considered to perform the national anthem at Oriole Park, we ask that all applicants submit an audition package. This submission should include a recording of the soloist or group performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” a cappella (without music). It should be a traditional rendition and be 1 minute and 30 seconds or less in length. Performers who wish to perform the Canadian anthem should include a rendition of “O Canada” with their audition package as well. Along with the recording(s), please include a cover letter and resume or record of past 13 Fan’s Guide performances for the soloist or group. This suite on the Oriole Park Club Level will be cleaned thoroughly before each game and reserved specifically for those fans and their guests with a peanut allergy. Tickets are $30 per person and sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of six tickets per order. Due to high demand, games will be limited to one per person/group during the 2016 season. While there is no area in the ballpark entirely free from the possibility of peanuts or peanut dust, this suite provides an environment best suited for those fans with allergies. All fans and/or their parents will be required to sign a release form upon purchasing tickets. The Oriole Park Peanut Allergy Suite is available on May 12 vs. Detroit; May 30 vs. Boston; June 17 vs. Toronto; July 8 vs. Los Angeles Angels; July 22 vs. Cleveland; August 2 vs. Texas; and August 29 vs. Toronto. For a complete list of affiliates, visit orioles.com. RAINOUTS In the event that a game is officially postponed due to rain, tickets for that game will be considered rain checks. Rainout policies vary based on the situation. A policy will be announced after the game is officially postponed. Any game suspended after five innings (or 4 ½ innings if the Orioles are ahead) is considered a complete game. Suspended game tickets cannot be exchanged. RE-ENTRY POLICY Fans will not be permitted to re-enter the ballpark once they leave. Only emergency situations for exiting the ballpark with re-entry permission can be granted by the Director of Ballpark Operations or the Manager of Event Operations with the Orioles. Fans requesting to leave the ballpark with re-entry permission should be directed to Fan Assistance Warehouse, where one of the above mentioned individuals will be contacted for authorization. RESTROOMS Spacious restrooms are located on all levels throughout the ballpark. Changing tables are available in most men’s and women’s restrooms. Family restrooms are located next to the First Aid rooms behind home plate on both the Upper and Lower Level Concourses. ROOF DECK The Roof Deck is Oriole Park’s newest destination open to all ballpark patrons. Overlooking the playing field on top of the batter’s eye wall in centerfield, the deck features two rows of seats facing the 19 Fan’s Guide field, outdoor lounge seating, and a fullservice bar with views of the playing field and Eutaw Street. Stop by for a Maryland craft beer and a number of local culinary favorites and stay for the downtown rooftop experience. S SARASOTA 365 The Orioles year-round partnership with Sarasota County is highlighted by the club’s Sarasota 365 program, which promotes community and charitable involvement in Sarasota 365 days a year. SCOREBOARD SURPRISES Fans may recognize that special person’s birthday or anniversary on Oriole Park’s centerfield video board. Each request must be accompanied by a charitable donation of $25 or more made payable to the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation. •No containers or unauthorized items can be left at any park entrance. You will be asked to return them to your vehicle. A limited number of full-board Scoreboard Surprises are available by phone for each game by calling 888-848-BIRD. The full-board messages require a charitable donation of at least $50. A limited number of complimentary Military Welcome Home Scoreboard Surprises are also available by phone. SCULPTURES See “Orioles Legends Park.” SECURITY PROCEDURES – BALLPARK ENTRY Oriole Park at Camden Yards, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, has established the following security procedures for entrance into the ballpark: • Metal detectors are present at all Oriole Park entrances. •All items permitted into the ballpark will be inspected. Permitted items must easily fit into a 16” x 16” x 8” container. No large bags or oversized items, or bags on wheels, are allowed in the ballpark. •No hard-sided coolers, thermoses, glass bottles, cans, or alcoholic beverages are permitted into the ballpark. You must leave these items in your vehicle before entering the ballpark. •Weapons of any kind are not permitted in the ballpark. • Air horns, cowbells, and other noisemakers are prohibited. Brooms and camera stands, such as tripods, are also not permitted in the ballpark. •No re-entry will be permitted. Once you enter the ballpark, you will not be permitted to leave and re-enter the facility. Please make sure you have everything you need with you before entering the ballpark. •Only vehicles dropping off or picking up guests with disabilities are permitted to stop curbside at the ballpark. No other vehicles are permitted curbside, nor will people be able to stand and wait with their vehicles. SECURITY PROCEDURES – IN PARK While enjoying an Orioles game at Camden Yards, if you see a problem or need assistance, you can easily and discreetly contact Oriole Park Security or an Event Staff Supervisor by texting the word “Orioles”, then a space, followed by your issue and seat location to 69050. SHANNON’S FUND In July 2008, the Orioles and OriolesREACH announced the establishment of Shannon’s Fund, a $50,000 endowment at the University of Maryland Medical Center that will provide financial assistance to hospital patients and their families. The Fund was created in memory of Shannon Obaker, the Orioles’ Director of Community Outreach who bravely fought cancer for over a year before she passed away in January 2007 at age 29. Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside Oriole Park, including electronic and smokeless cigarettes or any device that mimics the act of smoking. STROLLERS Strollers are permitted inside Oriole Park at Camden Yards. If you take yours with you to your seating area, it must fit under your seats. Larger strollers must be checked at our Stroller Parking area inside of Gate G on the lower concourse. 21 Fan’s Guide T TELEVISION BROADCASTS Orioles games are televised exclusively by MASN, the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. MASN and MASN2 broadcast all Orioles games in crystal clear, high definition format. Viewers in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania can find their MASN and MASN2 channel numbers by visiting www.MASNsports.com. Viewers in Baltimore will be able to watch select over-the-air games via “MASN on WJZ.” WJZ-TV in Baltimore will serve as MASN’s Baltimore affiliate and will simulcast these select games. However, all games aired outside of Baltimore can only be seen on MASN. TICKETS Tickets for regular season Orioles home games can be purchased at the Oriole Park Box Office at the north end of the Warehouse, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets may be ordered by telephone by calling 888848-BIRD or online at orioles.com. In the event that a game is sold out, standing room only tickets may be made available. TOURS OF ORIOLE PARK Tours of Oriole Park at Camden Yards are given daily from mid-February through mid-December, except on days with afternoon home games. Tour tickets can be purchased either online, or at the main box office windows, located at the north end of the ballpark’s Warehouse. U UMBRELLA/RAIN PROTECTION POLICY Umbrellas of all shapes and sizes are permitted in Oriole Park as long as they do not interfere with other fan’s view and enjoyment of the game. The Orioles reserve the right to restrict the use of and possibly confiscate all rain protection devices. W WAREHOUSE The landmark B & O Warehouse, beyond right field, is the longest building on the East Coast at 1,116 feet (but only 51 feet wide). The eight story building provides unique office space for the Orioles and other tenants, including MASN and the Maryland Stadium Authority. A 432-foot home run drive will reach the Warehouse if it hugs the right field line. WAREHOUSE WIRE E-NEWSLETTER The Warehouse Wire is the official email newsletter of the Baltimore Orioles. WHEELCHAIR SERVICE A limited number of wheelchairs are available in the Fan Assistance Centers and at the Concierge Desk on the Club Level on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchairs are to be used for transportation purposes, and the Orioles provide all fans with this service. Wheelchairs cannot be signed out for the entire game; due to the limited number of wheelchairs, they may only be used to transport an individual to their seat and should not be used outside the gates to transport an individual to their vehicle. A driver’s license, state issued photo ID, or credit card is a required deposit in order to use an Oriole Park wheelchair. Fans are encouraged to contact Fan Services at 888-848-BIRD to make special arrangements. WILL CALL All paid and complimentary tickets can now be picked up at the Home Plate Box Office adjacent to Gate E. Fans can also leave tickets for other fans to pick up at this location (Third Party Will Call). Will Call is no longer available at the Main Box Office at the north end of the Warehouse. A valid photo ID that matches the Will Call name is required to receive tickets. Will Call opens two hours prior to all home games and closes at the end of the fifth inning. Will Call is then moved to the reception desk inside of the Home Plate Plaza entrance (between Gates D and E) until the end of the game.
