When you are about to do a „Make-Under‟ with the Get Started Complexion Kit, the first thing you do is set up
your work station. This is a very important step to ensure that you cover each product and make sure that you
use it in the proper order.
Set up in the following order from left to right:

2 Foundation with Full Flawless Face Brush and Flawless Application Face Brush

Other items you will need (that DO NOT come in the Get Started Complexion Kit):
Prime time (original or Oil Control, depending on their skin), Quick Change Brush Cleaner, a towel,
tissues, a face chart and pencil.
Primetime: Although it is not included in the kit, it is an amazing product, and should be show and used on the
guest.
To do this: First explain what Primetime is and what it does. Have them feel the back side of one of their
hands. Now place a small amount of Primetime on the back of the same hand and rub in. Have them feel the
smooth canvas it creates. Now tell them you are only going to apply it to only half of their face. That you want
to them to see if it makes a difference to them. Let them know that you typically only show guests what comes
with the Get Started Kit, but this is such a phenomenal product, you wanted them to experience it.

Get Started Complexion Kit Application/Explanation steps:
1. Explain each product that is included in the kit (keep it simple)
Example: “In your kit, you will have 2 foundations, warmth all over, Mineral Veil, three brushes, Brush
cleanser, and a How To DVD.”
Pick up or point to each product as you talk about it.
2. Always shade match on cheek area. Use the „Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush’ and brush onto cheek
area to check for the best match. On darker skin tones, it‟s best to use the „Light Stroke Brush’ for this.
If guest is wearing make up, and you will be applying the Get Started Kit, you will need to cleanse their face
first. Use the wipes supplied to remove make up. You do not need to remove eye make up, since you will not be
applying eye make up. Simple cleanse all other areas of the face. Follow with Skin Rev-er Upper.
Use the following guidelines to choose the correct shade.
What shade to choose???
Always make sure the skin is hydrated before you try to color match it, to get a „true‟ look at the skin. Use SkinRever-Upper if they do not have any moisturizer on.
Look at Skin tone, undertone, and surface tone.
Skin Tone: is the color of your skin. The color your were born with.
Undertone: Is the under color of your skin. Either pink (cool) or golden (warm)
Surface tone: is the color that is on the surface of you skin. This could be pigmentation that is brown and spotted, or it could be blemishes or scars that are red or purplish in color. Or it could be rosacea skin (red).

Once you are sure you have the correct colors, proceed to the application.
BE SURE TO HAVE THE FACE CHART OUT, SO THAT YOU MAY RECORD EVERYTHING THAT YOU USE,
WHERE AND HOW YOU USE IT. (This is for the guest to take with them).

Be sure to explain that , this brush cleaning spray provides a quick change of makeup from one shade to the

Simply spray 2-3 sprays in a tissue and swirl brush around in it. Lightly spritz the inside of the lid and wipe out

For flawless coverage with 100% pure bareMinerals, follow our three simple steps…
SWIRL, TAP, BUFF.
SWIRL a small amount of bareMinerals into the lid with the Full Flawless Face Brush or
the Flawless Application Face Brush until the bareMinerals are tucked into the bristles.
TAP off excess. bareMinerals should not be visible on the outside of the brush.
BUFF bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near
your cheekbones. Then, buff around your face, working your way to the cheecks, forehead, and nose.
Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Less is more when applying bareMinerals.
SPECIAL NOTE: People with oilier skin can use the Mineral Veil first, then apply the foundation color, then
again apply the Mineral Veil. Mineral Veil has „talc‟ in it, so it will help in oil absorption.

To Apply:
Swirl a very small amount (remember "less is more") of Warmth into the Flawless Application Face Brush,
angling the brush into the lid until all the Warmth has been tucked into the bristles.
Tap away any excess. There should be no visible Warmth on the outisde of the brush.
Buff the Warmth into the skin where the sun would naturally highlight your face: your cheeks, forehead, chin
and nose.
Try using Warmth with lip balm for a natural warm lip tint, or on the lips with lipstick or glosses.
VERY IMPORTANT: You must make sure that you use only a VERY small amount, and tap off excessively. If
the Warmth is applied too heavily, it will look like someone punched them in the face. It is much easier to add
more if needed.

Mineral Veil infuses skin with softness and light, minimizes the look of fine lines and pores

Following the same Swirl, Tap Buff® steps above, apply a small amount of Mineral Veil
with the Flawless Application Face Brush.

finishing touch without the buildup or layering of pressed or loose powders that contain talc, waxes, dyes and

To Apply:
Swirl a small amount of Mineral Veil, angle the Flawless Application Face Brush and swirl into the lid until
all the Mineral Veil has been tucked iinto the bristles. (The Hydrate & Brighten Brush is used with the

Tap away excess. There should be no visible Mineral Veil on the outside of the brush.
Buff the Mineral Veil into the skin in a circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your

The items covered in this manual are the items you will use the most and be required
to have the most knowledge of. It by no means covers the entire Bare Minerals line. It
is up to you to learn as much as possible. You can learn a lot simply by looking thru
the catalog, looking at each product, watching other service providers, watching the
infomercials on TV, watch the video, look it up on line, etc..,
There are several other kits that come out periodically. On occasion, they will add them
to the line. In any event, you should make it your priority to get to know what is in each
kit, so that you can answer questions when they arise.
Also note that BareMinerals may have some things available in their stores, that is not
available on QVC or in Salons. On the other hand, we may have something that their
boutiques don‟t have. TYPICALLY, when they bring out something new, they will test it
in Sephora, or Nordsdtoms. If it looks like it will be a popular item, they will open it up
to the boutiques and salons.
If you plan to sell the line (which you will be expected to do),
you must wear it. EVERY DAY!
This line sells itself, you simply have to present it. Practice on co-workers and friends
during down time.
