Fizz Bomb Classic Horse Sale

We would like to dedicate this sale in memory of Ray Wardell & Dashing With Cash.Together they made a
tremendous impact on horse industry. Ray was a great friend and horseman who started the vision for this
horse sale back in 2002 to market horses from some of the leading breeders from our northern country. He
was a well-respected horseman whose contributions and sincere dedication is greatly appreciated.
Ray Wardell
Aug. 5, 1937 – Nov. 1, 2003
Ray’s equine involvement ran many directions, he raced
cutters and chariots, rode horses bareback and broncs,
announced, and clowned many rodeos. Raised on a ranch,
horses had always been his primary interest.
He worked for J.O. Hankins in Texas for about a year
where they stood Silver King and there he acquired his
first experience with A-I breeding techniques. His involvement in chariot racing led to the desire for faster horses
and better bloodlines. He purchased Reeds Tonto and
Whizz Blitz, who in turn, were sires that produced many
successful race and arena horses, some becoming the
foundation of his breeding program. Ray also stood some
Foundation bred stallions for some of his friends. Having
his own breeding program gave him the opportunity to do
what he loved best raise, race, train, breed and sell quality
Quarter horses.
Ray was also an auctioneer and read pedigrees at many
horse sales around the country. He was the organizer and
President of the Diamond Classic Futurity and manager
of the Diamond Classic Yearling Sale for many years. He
served as race director for the Wyoming Quarter Horse
Association from 1975-1992 and organized, and was twoterm President of the Wyoming Horseracing Association as
well as serving on the Race Committee of A.Q.H.A. from
1988 until 1996. Ray and his wife Cheri made their home
on the Half-Fast Ranch at Moorcroft, WY.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, Ray Wardell, age 66, passed away
at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dashing With Cash
1992 - 2013
Dashing With Cash was Ray’s most recent stallion. He had the
second highest percentage of stakes winners in the nation, with
many AAA runners. Ray’s dream was to own a stallion whose
colts would excel at both race and arena events. Dashing With
Cash was his dream horse. His colts could do it all; they excelled
both on the racetrack and in the arena. Dashing With Cash was
born for greatness. He was sired by the All-Time Leading race
sire, First Down Dash and Dashing With Cash was a full brother
to the World Champion race mare, Down With Debt.
During his race career he earned a 94 speed index before moving on to a career as a superior sire. He sired many great barrel
horses and was ranked as one of the leading barrel sires as well
as siring many race champions. He consistently proved to throw
speed and great minds in his progeny. His race get went on to
earn over $700k and his barrel get went on to earn over $300k,
pushing Dashing With Cash into the Million Dollar Sire category.
His top race earners included stakes winners Dashin With Silk,
Stormacash, Iscreamfordash, Punkys Pet, Wholelotta Dash, Captain Dash, Getda Money Hun, Polly Want Some Cash, Rebs Big
Dash, Dashing Meteror, Meter Me A Lady and Stormabash. In the
barrel pen, a few of his top earners were Nother Time To Cash,
CB Day, The Chocolate Dash, Dashing Misty Isle, Mojo N Motion,
Lil Dashin Blitz, On The Fast Stride, Dashing With Sis, Raw Silver
Tonto, and Dashing Duke Of Earl.
Dash passed away on May 2, 2013 at the age of 21. At the time
of his death, Dash was owned by Travis & Amy Lantis of Sitnal
Livestock, who carried on Ray’s dream. He will be greatly missed
by the many people lucky enough to know him and handle his
offspring.

This year, Fizz Bomb will celebrate its 32nd Annual Fizz Bomb Classic and
Barrel Futurity in Gillette, Wyo. The Fizz Bomb Futurity is ranked third in the
nation for barrel racing futurities with $20,000 added and also $20,000 Future
Fortunes bonus monies. RCM Productions, in conjunction with their major
sponsor, Rodeo Rigs.com, produce four action-packed days of barrel racing, a
pole futurity competition and the famous Fizz Bomb Dog Challenge. Fizz Bomb
brings to town amateurs as well as Professional Barrel Racers, all coming to
compete for the Fizz Bomb Futurity Champion title. Fizz Bomb brings in approximately 350 horses and 200 contestants from all over the United States.
The 4D averages 275 to 400 entries each year.

Terms & Conditions
1. We strongly urge buyers to thoroughly examine the horses
that interest them. The sale management acts as mediator
only. ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND GUARANTEES LIE
BETWEEN THE BUYER AND SELLER. All sales are
absolute and final.
2. All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and
the Fizz Bomb Classic Horse Sale & Rafter JJ Productions,
LLC; the Fizz Bomb Futurity & management, the sellers, and
the Camplex, assumes no liability for any accident or for loss
by fire, theft, or injury in any manner. Buyers and spectators
are cautioned to be careful while on the grounds and particularly while horses are being shown or sold in the sale ring.
3. Sellers, buyers and spectators attend the sale at their own risk.

the Fizz Bomb Futurity & management, the sellers, and the
Camplex will not be held responsible for accidents to spectators.
4. Buyers MUST register with cashiers and obtain a buyer number before sale time.
5. There is no guarantee of any kind as to the soundness, condition, merchantability or other quality of any horse sold in this
sale, except in a case where the owner makes a specific guarantee. All horses are sold “as is” with all existing conditions and
defects except as expressly announced from the auction stand.
In such cases the guarantee is strictly by the owner and not
by the sale management. Right of recourse must be directly to
the owner and not through the sale management.
6. Announcements from the block will take precedence over the
printed material in this catalog and all other announcements.
Every effort was made for correctness; however, mistakes do
happen and will be announced by the auctioneer on sale day.
The sale management and auctioneer are not responsible for
errors or omissions. Written and verbal comments regarding
the horse sold are the responsibility of the seller.
7. The accuracy of all information of the sale catalog is the sole
responsibility of the consignor. The consignor shall have the
affirmative duty to examine the catalog page(s), on which
horses consigned by him appear, prior to the sale and report
any inaccuracies to Fizz Bomb Classic Horse Sale management, so that it may make an appropriate announcement at
time of the sale.
8. Terms of the sale are cash or personal checks (US Funds);
no exceptions. No credit cards will be accepted. Payment in
full must be made to the cashier immediately after the sale.
There will be a $150 assessed on all returned checks. All cost
of collection (including attorney’s fees) shall be paid by buyer.
Driver’s license or some other from of legal identification will
be required for all checks. Canadians must pay in US funds.
9. Phone bids will be accepted. Please make arrangements prior
to sale day by contacting 605-430-7980. Be prepared to
fax a bank letter of credit. All successful phone purchases will be
required to wire transfer funds Monday morning
following the sale and prior to shipment. All
horses must be insured by the buyer.
10. Consignor checks will be sent out after 10 banking days from
the date of the sale, no exceptions.
11. The sale management and auctioneers and employees act as
agents for the seller, but assume no liability for either buyer or
seller. Any representations made by the sale management are
made on behalf of the seller.
12. The highest bidder is the buyer. If any dispute arises between
or among two or more bidders, sole authority is reserved by the
auctioneer to settle the dispute as he sees fit, and his decision
shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or
all bids.
13. Title to and risk of loss passes to the buyer when the animal is
announced “sold” by the auctioneer. Effective from the time of
purchase, the buyer assumes responsibility for the maintenance
and care of the animal and agrees to care for such animal. The
buyer further agrees to indemnify and hold the Fizz Bomb
Classic Horse Sale & Rafter JJ Productions, LLC; the Fizz
Bomb Futurity & management, the sellers, or the Cam-Plex,
harmless from all loss, cost and expense arising from the illness,
injury or death of persons caused by the buyer, the buyer’s agent
or by the animal subsequent to the time of purchase. No delivery will be made until final settlement has been made.
14. Guarantee of registration papers are between the buyer and the
seller. All registration papers will be withheld until check clears
the bank. At such time, they, along with the transfer certificates
will be mailed to the buyer. Original registration papers and
transfers will be given out at time of purchase ONLY if paid by
cash. The buyer is responsible for the transfer fee.
15. Pregnancy status of broodmares will be announced sale day.
From this point on, buyer assumes all risks. If mares have not
been vet checked in foal within 10 days of the sale, they will be
sold as exposed only. Live foal guarantees are between buyer
and seller.
16. A current negative Coggins test report will be furnished on
every horse sold in this sale and issued or shipment anywhere.
Health certificates for transportation purposes will be issued on
sale day.
17. No delivery of horses will be available until settlement is made
on all purchases.
18. All horses must be removed from sale barn by noon of the day
following the sale. Horses remaining in sale barn after that time
must make prior arrangements with sale management and pay
additional boarding costs.
19. Any delays in shipment of horses must be
approved by sale management.
