WELCOME NEW MEMBERS! GOLF OUTING A SUCCESS! A warm welcome to these new and returning members in the first quarter of 2012. Let’s stop in to these fine establishments to say hello!! The Annual Madison/Dane County Tavern League golf outing was held on Monday, July 9th at The Meadows of Six Mile Creek. We enjoyed one of the few non sweltering days in July and had a great event! Thank you to all the sponsors and participants that helped us raise funds for the lifesaving “Saferide” program. This year’s event netted approximately $6000.00 Your help is truly appreciated! MAD IS E MAD IS A total of 400 talking “urinal cakes” were distributed across Detroit as part of a trial to combat drunks from getting behind the wheel. Each device has a built-in recorded voice which says: “Listen up. That’s right, I’m talking to you. Had a few drinks? Maybe a few too many? RN LEAG U VE Calendars are available for the Annual TLW Calendar Raffle. Price is $20/calendar with daily winners up to $1000.00. Call 608-576-5565 if you need calendars. Rob & his wife Amy own the Al-Gen Supper Club in Rhinelander. Good luck Rob! TALKING URINAL TO STOP DRUNK DRIVERS “Then do yourself and everyone else a favour: Call a sober friend or a cab. Oh, and don’t forget to wash your hands.” Each disposable unit costs about £12 and lasts about three months before the battery runs out. They are activated by motion, rather than moisture, says the company that makes them, Wizmark. Wizmark also makes urinal deodorisers that “sing and flash lights”.
