RESOLUTION # 2015RE: ADOPTION OF ROAD NAME
Lots 2 and 3 in Ski Haus Subd
east of Steamboat Springs
Rockhaus Place
WHEREAS, road names and addresses on roads and buildable lots in unincorporated Routt County are
to be assigned pursuant to the Routt County Requirements for Addressing (the "Requirements") adopted
January 16, 1996, and revised September 27, 2011; and
WHEREAS, according to the Requirements every road existing, proposed, or constructed which
provides, will provide, or is proposed to provide access to two or more Buildable Lots, as defined in the Routt
County Zoning Resolution, in unincorporated Routt County shall be identified with a unique road name or other
designation so as to clearly identify and distinguish such road from every other road in Routt County; and
WHEREAS, the assignment of unique road names or other designations for public and private roads
throughout Routt County is necessary for safe and efficient provision of emergency, delivery, and utility
services, and for logical addressing of homes and businesses; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the GIS Department that the road name process must be
followed for a private road accessing lots 2 and 3 Ski Haus Subd, east of Steamboat Springs, CO and described
in the Routt County Clerk and Recorders Office at Reception #674694. The locations of the lots are shown on
the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Policy the GIS Department gave notice to the owners of land accessed by
the road that the road name process was beginning and asked the owners of such lands ("Petitioners") to submit
a request for a designation name for the road; and
WHEREAS, the Board held a hearing pursuant to and duly noticed in accordance with the
Requirements for the purpose of assigning a name to the road; and
WHEREAS, the upon the evidence presented at the hearing and after finding that the road name
submitted is reasonable, does not duplicate the name of other roads in the County, and otherwise satisfy the
criteria contained in the Requirements, Commissioner _____________ made a motion to approve and assign the
road name Rockhaus Place for the road accessing accessing lots 2 and 3 Ski Haus Subd, east of Steamboat
Springs, CO and described in the Routt County Clerk and Recorders Office at Reception #674694, as illustrated
in Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the motion was seconded by Commissioner ________________ and passed on a
vote of ____.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Routt County Board of County Commissioners that
the road shown in Exhibit A lots 2 and 3 Ski Haus Subd, east of Steamboat Springs, CO and described in the
Routt County Clerk and Recorders Office at Reception #674694 shall be named Rockhaus Place from its
intersection of County Road 32, also known as Fish Creek Falls Road, to its terminus as illustrated in Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that road sign bearing the name approved herein and addresses
assigned to the dwellings shall be posted in accordance with the Routt County Requirements for Addressing.
THIS RESOLUTION is executed and effective this 15 day of December, 2015.
