This casual and whimsical seaside setting by Kimberly
Syverson of Interior Impressions incorporates prized
treasures discovered while beachcombing. Featuring a
wide variety of colorful sea glass, driftwood, and unique
shells this celebration of the sea creates a feeling of calm
and serenity for your guests and family.
Marguerite Wesseler, a local photographer, used a young couple’s
wedding photograph as inspiration for a table set for the
enjoyment of an intimate, romantic meal between “Just the Two
of Us”. She has used her Gold Buffet Royal gallery china, with
coordinating wine glasses, and gold flatware. A silk arrangement
and lamplight in the library sets the tone for this special occasion.

According to local historical newspaper articles and university
memorabilia, young University of Puget Sound women of the early
1900’s frequently entertained classmates at luncheons to celebrate
graduations, travel departures, and betrothals. Many such
luncheons took place at “The Reddish Patch” – the summer home
of student Mae Miranda Reddish and her mother. Designer
Marva Pelander has combined her Haviland china and Waterford
crystal to capture this moment in time.

occasion was celebrated on this set of her Grandmother’s Haviland.
The silver tea service was given to her grandparents on their
wedding day in 1905. It rests on a tray given to her parents on
their 25th wedding anniversary. The sterling – International’s
“Spring Glory”, was a wedding present to her parents Grandma
hand embroidered the napkins. This table is in honor of Marcia’s
family.

This formal setting by David Colegrove, Owner of Key Antiques, includes
whimsical Dresden figures, elegant crown Staffordshire & Wedgwood’s
“Ningpo” c. 1870s, and Reed & Barton “Francis 1st” crystal. Rich gold
hues make us imagine sparkling chandeliers, swirling Viennese waltzes,
flickering candlelight, champagne, and the merry laughter of people in
their holiday best. We can almost see St. Nickolaus peering though the
frosted window panes giving his nod of approval.
