The North Huntingdon Township Board of Commissioners met on Wednesday,
August 19, 2015 at the Town House.

PENNS WOODS CIVIC ASSOCIATION AUGUST 2015 MINUTES
The August meeting came to order with 16 Board Members in
attendance. Minutes for the August meeting were read by assistant
secretary, Valerie Sabo. Motion to accept minutes was made by Mike
Sudar, seconded by Traci Kellar and were passed.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s report was read by Bob Sadusky. Motion to accept by Gert
Kohler and seconded by Paul McNearny and was passed.
Membership
Bob Sadusky reported no new memberships. Sign up any time!
Bereavements
Our sympathies to the Lovell family, St. Clair Dr. passing of Ann Lovell.
Municipal Report
There was a meeting on Wednesday, 8-19-15.
Paid Ads
Traci Kellar reported that there were no new paid ads this month.
Senior Citizens
Gert Kohler reported the seniors had a very nice meeting at K-Vays. The
next social meeting will be held on 10-21-15.
Spaghetti Dinner
Bob Stone reminded everyone to come to support the spaghetti dinner
held the third Friday of the month. Dessert donations always welcome.
Campbell’s Court
Mike Stepansky reported that there are some dead trees that need to be
taken care of.
Building
Don Zeiller reported that everything is OK.
Yard Sale
Appeared to be a little lighter than in years past, was a success.
Night Under the Stars
Due to lack of interest (only 20 people responding) Night Under the Stars
was cancelled.
Gun Bash
Gun Bash is set for Sunday, 10-4-15 at the PWCA building. This event
will be catered by Stratigos. Dan Sedlock has the tickets ready for sale
so be sure to get the word out and sell as many as you can.
Halloween Party
The Halloween Party will be held on Sat., 10-24-15 in the Teen Center.
Reservations by 10-14-15.
Fall Social
Sat.11-7-15. Theme will be “Steeler Pride.” Reservations by 10-26-15.
Christmas Party
The children’s Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, 12-5-15

Jeff Feryus reported the 2016 calendar tickets are ready to go.

PWCA August Seniors Minutes
The August meeting of the Penns Woods Seniors was held on Monday
the third at noon. The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance
and the singing of “God Bless America”. Reports were given and
approved and “Happy Birthday” was sung to Doug Klimchock and Carol

Grubb. We will meet again this month on the 17 of August for lunch at
K-Vays. Our annual birthday party will be held next month on September
st
th
21 . Plans had been made for a trip to West Virginia on December 8
with a number of interesting stops. Gert Kohler was thanked for a very
funny story and a delicious pie.

for planning. Caterer’s want to know how many to
prepare for at least 7 days in advance, so if we
cannot give an accurate count, or feel there is little
response to an event, we will be forced to cancel.
