Trust Mango to get your bike to the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour in one piece
• Please ensure that the box or bag is clearly
marked with your name, contact details,
flight number and Mango booking reference
number.
Here’s why you and your bike
should be flying with us.
• Secure and safe bike storage premises.
• Dropping-off and picking-up your bike is
simple and convenient.
• Your bike doesn’t form part of your checked
baggage.
• We guarantee that your bike will be back
at your collection point within four (4) days of
leaving Cape Town.
• You can track your bike online via the BidAir
Cargo website or telephonically if flying from/
to Bloemfontein & Lanseria.
• We’ll transport your bike carefully and safely.
• Affordable pricing from R300, one way trip,
or R350 for a tandem.
• Easy, quick booking and payment options.
Costs, bookings and payments.
We will fly your bike to/from Cape Town via
Johannesburg, Durban or Bloemfontein for
only R300 (one way trip), R350 for a tandem
bike, if paid through our Call Centre or via
www.flymango.com.
If paid at an airport Mango Guest Service desk,
the cost will be R365 (one way trip) or R400 for
a tandem bike. This charge is over and above
your airfare.
To minimise admin and avoid long queues, we
recommend that you book and pay for your
flight and bike transport fee at the same time.
The most efficient ways of doing this are:
• Online 24/7 at www.flymango.com
• Telephonically 07h00 to 21h00 via the Mango
Call Centre +27 (0)86 100 1234
• Mango Mobi-App
• Online at www.bidaircargo.com.
Note: SAA Codeshare Guests may only pay
the bike transport fee at an airport Mango
Guest Service desk or their nearest Pick n Pay
outlet. When booking your flight, be sure to
advise you’ll be bringing your bike so that we
can plan ahead for you.
Packing, care and handling.
The efficient and safe carriage of your bike to
and from Cape Town is of prime importance
to us and we will make every endeavour to
ensure that your bike receives appropriate
care and handling.
Here are some tips to ensure your bike touches
down as safely as it took off.
• It must be securely packed and placed in a
bike bag or box to prevent possible damage.
Special boxes or bags are obtainable from
most bike outlets and this is the only form
of packaging allowed: we cannot accept
bikes packed in bubble wrap and/or plastic
wrapping.
• For ease of handling, pack your bike as
follows: turn the handlebars parallel to the
frame, remove pedals (or turn inward), deflate
tyres and put the seat down.
• Remove and transport
equipment separately.
all
electronic
• CO2 canisters (compressed air cartridges)
are considered ‘Dangerous Goods’, thus only
two canisters per person are allowed as carryon baggage on the plane. CO2 canisters are
not allowed as checked baggage. The current
Terms and Conditions pertaining to the refusal
and limitation of carriage shall apply.
• Wheels, rims, frames and/or any other
equipment must be checked-in as they do not
comply with IATA carry-on bagage regulations.
No exceptions will be entertained.
• All bikes will be subject to a security check.
Please ensure that you have the key to unlock
your bike bag or, if using a box, bring sufficient
tape to retape it securely once the security
check is completed.
• Kindly note that Mango accepts no liability
for the loss of or damage to any bike, spares
or equipment, in part or whole, in accordance
with our Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
For additional peace of mind, we suggest you
purchase travel insurance to insure your bike.
• Mango Airline’s standard Terms and
Conditions apply.

Airport drop-off/collection
procedures.
General
Documentation requirements.
You must present the following
documents at all drop-off and
collection points:
• Please note that you can only drop-off or
collect your bike at the airport stated on your
booking.
• Bikes may not be collected at any of the
collection points by family members, friends or
colleagues. We will only release your bike to
you personally, on presentation of the relevant
documents (see documentation requirements).
• Although we will try, we cannot guarantee
that you and your bike will be transported to/
from Cape Town on the same flight.
• Due to limited freight space on our aircraft,
please be patient and allow up to four (4) days
for the delivery of your bike to Cape Town.
• Do NOT travel long distances to collect your
bike unless you know it has arrived at the
collection point.
You can track your bike via its waybill
number on the BidAir Cargo website - www.
bidaircargo.com.

return on the Sunday/Monday after the event.
Due to the vast number of bikes transported, it
may take up to four (4) days before your bike
arrives back at your collection point.
• Valid ID document/passport or SA driver’s
licence.
• If you are travelling onward to another
destination, it is essential that you advise
Mango in advance, and every endeavour will
be made to prioritise the delivery of your bike

onward journey.
Proof of travel arrangements would be required
and Mango cannot guarantee delivery prior to
the four-day waiting period.
