New research finds UAE Population 20,000,000 in 2020!! Al Ain will be inhibited by 5,000,000 people! Ramadan Ben Amer: In a recent research study by ABC Media PR for publicity and research, an Alpha Beta Publishers and Media Consultants Company which publishes the bilingual newspaper “Al Ain Times News”, it was revealed that the population of the United Arab Emirates will reach the stunningly high number of 20 million people by the year 2020. And the number of people leaving in Al Ain city will be in the vicinity of 5 million people or about 25% percent of the total population of the United Arab Emirates of approximately 20 million as estimated in the most recent survey compiled by ABC Media PR. The study was based on the fact that the United Arab Emirates is now inhabited by about 4 to 5 million people with the number of UAE citizens of approximately 1 million. This means that in 10 years from now or by the year 2020, the population will multiply 4 to 5 times to reach 16 to 25 million. By taking the law of averages this will result in slightly above 20 million people living in the UAE ((16 + 25) /2 = 20.5 million). It was also mentioned in this unique and one- of- itskind study that these results were based on the fact that the current population of the United Arab Emirates now is about 5 million people, ½ of which are of female gender. Each couple can produce at least one child per year ( i.e. 10 children for each couple during the 10 years period). By simple calculations, with the assumption that about 5 million people will die in the same length of time (i.e. in the next 10 years), the final findings were calculated to ((2.5 million couples x 1 child per year x 10 years) – 5 million = 20 million). The study also shows that the number of the UAE citizens will reach beyond 10 million as the local UAE citizens average will increase to 50% of the total population in UAE. Moreover; the total population in Al Ain, locals and expatriates, will be about 25% of the total people inhibiting the UAE ( i.e. ¼ of 20 million = 5 million). Important Note: This study is full of rubbish assumptions neglecting the main rules of assumptions (April fool!!!). Share with us the latest April fool jokes. It may be published and you may be awarded by publishing it Al Ain Times News, or by winning a one way ticket home!!! For dry skin, mix one egg yolk, one teaspoon honey, a teaspoon olive oil, and some vitamin E oil, if you have it. Smooth on and leave on for 15 minutes. Then rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry. If your skin is a bit dry you can put a dab or two of either olive oil or any other light oil (or plain Crisco ®, if you want something heavier) on your moist skin after washing or a mask, and your face is set without the $$ some people spend for the same look. Going all out on a fashion can make you look like you’re trying too hard and can create a contrived look that looks more like costume than fashion. 5. Accessorise cleverly whatever the fashion is and in this 1950s autumn winter trend, it’s all about accessorising the feet with cute little ankle socks in pastel colours which create that 1950s daily look which can be worn by just about anyone. 3. This season’s key pieces are wrap waited belts in soft tan, brown and black leathers which are absolutely perfect for creating curves where there are none or emphasizing tiny waists. These can be combined with plain t-shirts and full maxi skirts in flirty floral patterns or lace and mesh for a hippy take on the 1950s fashion. 4. 1950s drama is where it is at for this autumn winter, so when the weather turns cold and wet and you want to stay feminine 6. The biggest mistake many people make is to buy fashionable items just because they think they should and not because they suit them, so choose between the on trend colours of a season and the shapes and silhouettes the key pieces create. This season it’s all about classic camel and deep purples, aubergines and violet, as well as glamorous metallics and pastel coloured faded florals when it comes to colour and it’s all about nipped in waists and voluptuous, dramatic curves when it comes to shape. 8. Mix plains with patterns and different materials this season, choose a floral maxi skirt and team with a plain women’s crop top in nude, beige, camel or navy and instantly transform your style from spring / summer to autumn / winter. Dr Charles Stanford, Chief Executive Officer at Burjeel Mafraq Hospital pioneers surgery for urinary tract cancer Al Ain Times News/Wam: The surgeons from Mafraq Hospital, owned and operated by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), have performed a successful reconstructive surgery on a male patient suffering from advanced cancer of the urinary bladder. The patient came to Mafraq Hospital with a cancerous tumour in his bladder. The tumour took up 60% of his bladder. The team, led by Dr Mohsen El Mekresh, Consultant and Chief of Urology and Chair of Surgery, performed a radical cystectomy and removed out the bladder, prostrate, seminal vesicles, lower ureters and draining pelvic lymph nodes and then conducted surgery to reconstruct a new bladder. Dr El Mekresh said: The patient came to us suffering from severe pain and blood clots in his urine. Our tests showed that a large tumour occupied 60% of his bladder, Further tests showed the cancer had not spread into other parts of his body. Usually, following a radical cystectomy, the urine will have to find another way to get out of the body and would be stored in a pouch or bag outside of the body which can be manually emptied. We created a new bladder for the patient using 40cm of his small intestine anastomosed in one side to the ureters and distally to the urethra. This means the patient can urinate normally and does not need a urostomy bag.’ A urostomy bag causes patients’ embarrassment and can make them uncomfortable in social situations. Dr Mohsen’s procedure means that this patient can look forward to living a normal, social life. Mafraq Hospital has also set up the only Uro Cancer Centre in Abu Dhabi,’ added Dr El Mekresh. As well as helping patients we have operated on, we want to improve the awareness in the region about uro cancers and prostate cancer. Early screening reduces the severity of prostate cancer and should be a vital part of people’s health tests.’ “Performing cutting edge surgeries such as this one, and recognizing a need in the market for a center such as the Uro Cancer one, are in keeping with our mission to continually meet the needs of our community and provide health care of a recognized international standard.” commented Dr. Mohammad Yaman, Chief Medical Officer, Mafraq Hospital. Hospital, said: “In addition to the sense of hospitality that the Hospital reflects, the Burjeel Hospital is all about sophistication.
