UAE upstream awards dominated by Petrofac and NPCC
Nasr award brings total National Petroleum Construction Company haul to $4.3bn
since 2012
Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Construction Company’s
(NPCC) latest offshore contract, an estimated $800-900m
deal on the Nasr field, sees the group continuing a strong run
of awards in the emirate’s upstream sector.
Since Abu Dhabi began its latest round of engineering,
procurement and construction (EPC) spending on offshore oil
field expansions in 2012, NPCC has been the lead bidder in
four of the 10 largest upstream awards and involved in a fifth
as part of a consortium.
Abu Dhabi Operating Company (Adma-Opco) awarded almost
$4.3bn to NPCC since the start of 2012, which also included
two deals on the Umm al-Lulu full-field development and an
oil lines replacement on the Lower Zakum field.
NPCC is part of the Senaat, a state-owned Abu Dhabi-based industrial conglomerate that also owns Emirates Steel and
several manufacturing companies. More…
Abu Dhabi tenders integrated gas packages
State gas processor invites companies to submit bids on offshore
and onshore pipelines
Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) has tendered two packages on its estimated $1bn
Integrated Gas Development (IGD) expansion scheme, according to sources close to
the project.
The scheme is aimed at expanding the volume of gas from Abu Dhabi’s offshore
fields processed at Gasco’s onshore operations at Habshan.
The new project is an extension of Gasco’s completed $11bn IGD scheme – one of
the biggest UAE oil and gas projects of the last decade – will add an additional 200400 million cubic feet a day (cf/d) of gas processing capacity.
Gasco has asked companies to submit technical engineering, procurement and
construction (EPC) bids for the respective offshore and onshore pipelines, with the
deadlines set for the first week of August. More…
