to fit system. You can design combinations just as you want your bathroom to be!
Our design numbers are illustrated on the next page showing what designs are available
in different tile sizes. Most panels have the same seam colour and size between the tiles
and can therefore be combined just as you would like.
In addition to bathrooms and wet-room areas, Fibo-Trespo wall panels are ideal for
kitchens, changing rooms, food preparation areas, laboratories and shower blocks. The
possibilities are many and varied, the panels are also used in reception areas, offices and
garages.

Profiles:
Fibo-Trespo profiles are designed for use with
the wall panels to complete your installation.
Depending on the size and shape of your room,
use the appropriate shaped profile to fit the
panels correctly and securely into place. Finishing
profiles can be used to cover any raw edges.

Construction:
Fibo-Trespo panels has a decorative, high pressure laminate
surface, bonded to high quality WBP plywood with a balancer laminate on the reverse. Each panel, with the Aqualock
system, is tongue and grooved on its longest side.
Size and Weight :
Standard Wall Panel : 600mm x 2400mm x 10.2mm (12kg)
Heat Resistance :
Do not expose the laminate surface to sustained high temperatures (max 180°C or 356°F)
Fire Certificate :
Fibo-Trespo has a Class 2 Surface Spread of Flame Certificate tested to BS 476 parts 6 & 7.
Cleaning and Maintenance :
Simply wipe with a damp cloth or a mild non-abrasive cream
cleaner.
Before installing panels check that the underlying surface is level and
provides a firm nail/screw hold. Panels should be attached to battens.
Distance between battens - Vertically: 600mm or 900mm. Horizontally:
800mm.
Panels can also be glued to walls providing these are sound. Use a
neoprene based glue applied to the back of the panel in a zig-zag pattern.
Remember to use plastic film between panel and an outer wall.
Check that the panels are correctly aligned. Panels have a drip nose at
both ends and can be installed either way round.

Guarantee :
Fibo-Trespo offers the domestic consumer a 15 year
guarantee,from date of purchase, that the panels will remain
watertight and will not crack or delaminate if fitted correctly. Base profiles must be used when installing in wet areas
to prevent water damage occurring. The guarantee will be
void if panels are not fitted according to the manufacturer's
instructions. Please check the product carefully for flaws or
colour discrepancies before installation because, if faulty
panels are fitted, any subsequent liability will be restricted to
the value of the panel(s) only.
Storage :
The panels should be protected against moisture during
transportation and be stored flat in their packaging.
IMPORTANT - Panels should be acclimatised in the room
in which they are to be used for at least 3 days prior to
fitting.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ
CAREFULLY
The panels are intended for use as wall and ceiling linings on
a flat surface.
Ensure that all walls are completely dry and level before
starting installation.
If used on an outer wall, a protective plastic film must be
used between the wall and the panels.
When installed on a smooth brick or concrete surface, use
appropriate screws and wall plugs. Remember to countersink the nails or screws. Drill holes for the plug through the
nailing lip into the concrete then place the plug and fasten
the screw.
PLEASE NOTE - If installed on steel studs, with or
without gypsum boards, please contact our sales office for
further instructions.

Where an installation is to go around a room, start by
ensuring that the last panel is cut to fit over the door. Fit
panels using our Aqualock easy-to-fit tongue and groove
system, clicking into place as you go.

The last panel on each run of a wall should be cut to size and
swung into position with the corner profile attached. The
profile is then fastened to the stud or batten. Remember to
use clear mildew resistant silicone sealant in the corner profile.
Cut the panel to size and adjust the width
so that the nails/screws are countersunk. Remember
that the panel must be correctly aligned. Remember to
use clear mildew resistant silicone in the corner profile.
The corner profile is fastened to the batten
or stud before the next panel is installed.

Respatex wall panels with the Aqualock system are fixed to
battens/walls by nailing or screwing into the groove running
the length of the panel using No. 6 screws or 35mm gypsum
board nails at a distance of 200mm between each nail/screw.
The lowest nail/screw must be fastened a maximum of 20mm
from the bottom of the panel.
In areas of high humidity, Respatex wall panels must be fitted
using a clear mildew resistant silicone sealant in every joint. Apply
the sealant when the panel is upright against the wall, next to the
previously installed panel. It is then easy to ‘lock’ the two panels
together into position without creating any mess. Run a bead of
sealant along the length of the panel groove with a sufficient
amount to provide a good seal for the panels when they are
assembled. Excess sealant must be removed at once by washing
the joint with white spirit followed immediately by wiping with a
damp cloth. This ensures that the joint is virtually invisible with
no adhesive showing.
Silicone
For areas higher than 2400 mm a stacking profile should
be used.
Remember to use clear mildew resistant silicone in the
stacking profile.

base profile and the panel as well as
between the bottom of the profile and
the bath or shower tray. The smallest

base profile and the floor should be 60-80 mm.

Area for use, fitting and installation
Fibo-Trespo is an interior panel for wet and dry rooms both in domestic and public areas.
The panel is designed to be used in bath/shower room and other areas with excessive water
exposure.
Panels can be fitted directly onto a concrete wall, over tiles or, if necessary, onto a timber
framework. Refer to Fibo-Trespo fitting instructions.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Net 2400 x 600 x 10,2mm with Aqualock joining on the two long sides.
The Fibo-Trespo panels consist of a plywood core covered with a decorative high-pressure
laminate (HPL) on the front face and a backing laminate (HPL) on the reverse side. The long
edges are delivered with Aqualock “click lock” tongue and groove system for concealed fixing
with a 25 degree chamfered short edge.

The High pressure Laminate is a surface material to be bonded to different kinds of substrates.
High Pressure Laminates have a very good wear resistance as well as resistance to most
chemicals. Produced after EN 438 norm
