What’s a C-Plant? C-Plant was originally chartered in November 1951 as C.
& C. C. C. Employees Federal Credit Union. The credit union was formed
to serve the employees of the plant formally known as Union Carbide
Corporation located in West Paducah, KY. The plant is currently operated by
United States Enrichment Corporation. The name “C-Plant” is derived from
our roots. During the 1950’s the Department of Defense laid plans for three
uranium plants located in Oak Ridge, TN, Portsmouth, OH, and Paducah, KY.
The Paducah location was loosely referred to as the “C”plant. Serving the
community and families in Western Kentucky for over 60 years; C-Plant has
become a staple in the community.
