Winery Focus
Noble Terroir
To build just about anything, a building, a business, a family…
there are few essential aspects that are pretty crucial to succeed.
Things like a foundation, location, and preparation, are just some
that come to mind. This idea of starting out with the essential
aspects needed to succeed is the exact concept that my friend James
de Roany has taken from an idea and turned to a brand. I met with
James last spring in Provence, France when he described his vision.
We were both excited to be able to offer a brand that gives it’s
customers the assurance that all their products are from the best
vineyards from the best regions. And, within these regions, grapes
are selected from the best vine blocks. This attention to detail
provides a consistent quality of expression to each customer, which
gives 100% typical wine for each region. By taking a simple concept
of starting with the best fruit, soil, and winemakers, James’ Noble
Terroir has created an affordable and understandable series of wines
that are true to, and represent all the major growing regions of
France nobly. They are arriving this month and we are proud to be
one of the first to
feature these bargains.
All month long we will
have seven of these
terroir driven wines
available and most
priced under $10.! If
you have always had a
desire to understand
the subtleties and
differences between
the regions of France,
the Noble Terroir
wines are perfect to
bolster your palate and
push you on your way
James de Roany and Tom Lane with the
to becoming a French
owner of Chateau Vauclase.

Featured Chardonnay
Chateau Ste. Michelle $9.99
Are you still under the impression that all good
wine from the United States comes from
California? If so, I bet you are still typing away
on that old typewriter and your idea of a text
message still appears on a sticky note… Well,
this Month’s pick for our featured Chardonnay is
here to help you get with the times and let your
palate embrace the glory that is Washington’s
Columbia Valley. All joking aside, the Columbia
Valley is responsible for more 90 point rated wines than
any other growing region in the world; largely thanks to
Chateau Ste. Michelle. Chateau Ste. Michelle is
Washington State’s first winery and owns the oldest and
most acclaimed vineyards in the Columbia Valley. The
Saint Michelle name started in 1967 under the
leadership of legendary California wine maker Andre
Tchelistcheff. Since then, Washington has enjoyed
phenomenal growth in wine production, now boasting
nine separate growing regions, all but one east of the
Cascade Mountains. This particular Chardonnay happens
to be the cream of the Columbia Valley crop (quite
literally) being blend of the best Chardonnay grapes
from multiple vineyards in the region. It is known best
for its subtle and soft style that make it a remarkably
food friendly wine. With bright apple and citrus perfectly
accompanying hints of spice and oak this wine has a
type of versatility not often seen in the world of
Chardonnay. Pair this wine with anything from meats off
the grill to summer salads all month long at Pettyjohn’s.
Pardon our dust.
Table Mesa Shopping Center will be replacing
our wooden roofs this month. We will remain
open, we’re sorry for any inconvenience.
