Applying for Financial Aid
First step: complete the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
After completing the FAFSA there may be additional steps in order to be
offered financial aid, so keep in contact with the financial aid office.

If selected for “verification,” you will need to submit additional
documents to the financial aid office. You can view your requirements
and the status of your financial aid at http://uaonline.alaska.edu/.
Once logged in, click on the “Financial Aid” tab. Then
select “Financial Aid Status.”
Select your aid year and click “Submit.”
You can also accept your financial aid on
UAOnline once the FAFSA process is complete.
To accept: after
logging in and
clicking on the
“Financial Aid” tab,
click on “Award,”
then “Award By Aid
Year,” and chose
your aid year.
If using Direct Loans, you must complete Entrance
Counseling and the Master Promissory Note (MPN).
