Track
Track will be hosting open weight room for track athletes wanting to get in shape on
Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-5 pm starting February 2.
Seniors
Are you going to attend school upon graduation from Crater HS? If your answer is “yes”,
you are eligible for assistance from the Crater Foundation. You will be required to attend
a 20 minute orientation the week of January 19th -23rd, 2015 at which time you will be
introduced to the Crater Foundation scholarship application- You must attend one of
these orientations during lunch period in Room 602 (BIS Tech Center) Questions? See
Mr. McRoberts in Room 44.
FAFSA
Submit your FAFSA as soon as possible- Need help? See your school counselor or Mr.
McRoberts in Room 44. Important: Make sure when filing your FAFSA you have the
official government website: www.fafsa.ed.gov. FAFSA stands for FREE Application for
Federal Student Aid. If you are asked to pay, you have the wrong site!
Sparrow Club
Important Sparrow Club Meeting this Thursday, Jan. 22. Come and learn about our new
Sparrow Amari! 12:35 in Room 72
Dress Donations
Donate a dress to girls who are in need of one. You can donate your gently used dresses to
Mrs. Watson or Mr. Epperson in room 76 of CAHPS. If you need a dress find Mrs.
Watson and she will put you in contact with the dress closet organizers. Winter formal is
the first week of February, so please donate your dresses this month!
Soccer
Girls interested in playing soccer next year are encouraged to attend open weight room
and open field on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30-6:00.

Crater Senior Order Dates
Senior Class of 2015! The discount deadline for ordering your cap and gown is
Wednesday, January 14th. Orders received after this date will cost more and will not
receive the announcement designed and selected by your senior class. Orders are
accepted at OREGONGRADUATESERVICES.COM or can also be mailed in to the
address on your senior order form. Please call 541-479-0955 with questions.
Dancing People Residency
LET THAT INNER DANCER, DANCE!!! I am proud to announce the sixth annual
Dancing People residency. This is an opportunity for you to dance with professional
dancers over a two week period, after school, and perform the piece put together in a
show with the professional company. Auditions are after school TUESDAY, JANUARY
27th, starting at 4pm SHARP!!! Come dressed and ready to move. Any questions please
ask Mr. Reynolds in the PAC!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!!!
Flu Shots
If you're interested in getting a flu shot, please go to the health center and sign up.
RCC Driver Education
Registration for winter term has begun. Call RCC at 541-956-7303 for registration.
Information is available at the BIS office.
Project Graduation
If you are signed up or you plan on signing up please do so ASAP!! Please pay before
February 1st. You can drop off your money to the Scenic Middle School Main Office.
Please put money or a check in an envelope with your name and number in it!
Tutoring
National Honor Society Tutoring starts Sept. 30th and ends May 12th. Sessions are every
Tuesday from 4-5 pm. in Room 601 (in the Tech Center). The cost is $40 for 5 one-hour
sessions. Pick up an application at the BIS office.

Scholarship Opportunity
Ford Scholars Program the qualifications: need based, graduate, 3.0 GPA, seek a
bachelor's degree, no felonies, attend full time on campus in Oregon in the fall of 2015,
FAFSA required. Deadline: March 1, 2015. For more info: www.OregonStudentAid.gov
Grange Co-Op Scholarship
To qualify, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have participated in activies
such as: FFA, 4-H, Horticulture, DECA, FBLA , Student Body Leadership, School Sports,
