Handicaps
All players must present proof of official handicap. Each player must
check-in in person at the golf desk to verify authenticity. Handicap
information must also be provided in advance of arrival.
US Players must provide their GHIN number as all handicaps will
be verified through the GHIN system. US Handicaps will be adjust
ed to reflect the slope rating at Waterville.
Irish Players must produce their GUI Card on arrival. All handicaps
will be verified through the GUI System.
Other International Players must produce a letter from their golf
club and the relevant union / federation credentials. Carr Golf will
call all golf clubs to confirm membership status and verify handi
caps.
All handicaps will be confirmed with players before the commence
ment of play and the committee will adjust handicaps based on a
team’s past performance over the previous three years. The Tour
nament will operate on ¾ of the handicap system. The maximum
handicap allowable is 24, thus maximum number of shots any player
is entitled to is 18. On Friday when the format is Scotch Foursomes,
50% of the combined handicaps will be the calculation for scoring.

better ball format.
