multi-platinum certified production trio, The Smeezingtons, featuring Green's Elektra labelmate, Bruno Mars - is now
bulleting its way up the top 40 on Billboard's "Hot 100" singles chart. Along with its phenomenal popular success, the

Known far and wide as one half of Grammy Award-winning superstar duo Gnarls Barkley, Cee Lo Green is a true 21st
Century renaissance man. Having first made his bones as a member of southern hip-hop pioneers, Goodie Mob, Green
soon struck out on his own with 2002's Cee Lo Green And His Perfect Imperfections, highlighted by the
Timbaland-produced hit single, "Closet Freak." The acclaimed Cee Lo Green...Is The Soul Machine followed two years
later, again featuring a Timbaland-produced hit single in "I'll Be Around." Cee Lo also became one of R&B/hip-hop's most
in-demand collaborators, penning and producing tracks for such like-minded artists as Jennifer Hudson, Brandy, Amerie,
and Solange. In 2006, Green teamed with producer/DJ Danger Mouse as Gnarls Barkley and quickly made history with the

Description: It was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' third release, Damn the Torpedoes, that catapulted Petty and

Description:
It seems no one knew what to expect when Josh Groban teamed with super-producer Rick Rubin for the singer’s fifth
album, Illuminations – least of all Groban and Rubin. Fittingly, the results both defy and exceed any possible
expectations as each of the collaborators stepped out of his zone and together they created an entirely new zone, one
where folk meets classical, where art meets intimacy, where immediacy meets timelessness and where, most importantly,
Groban was free to express himself more fully, more truly than ever before.
“These are my stories,” says Groban, who co-wrote 11 of the 13 songs on the collection, complemented by personalized if
surprising selections written by Nick Cave and the poignant mother-son collaboration by Kate McGarrigle and Rufus
Wainwright. “Every one of these songs, someone’s going to know it’s about them. I’m going to get a text message about
every one! This is a very personal record.”
Groban teamed with singer-songwriter Dan Wilson (former leader of the band Semisonic and co-writer of several pieces
on the Dixie Chicks’ Not Ready to Make Nice including the 2007 Grammy song of the year title track) on most of the
songs. Most of the recordings were done live in a casual setting with Groban playing piano and singing alongside acoustic
guitarists Matt Sweeney and Smokey Hormel and, on some songs, iconic organist Spooner Oldham. From those
sessions, orchestrations were crafted by David Campbell for nine songs and James Newton-Howard for two, while
Brazilian great Carlinhos Brown created the dynamic setting for “Voce Existe Em Mim (You Exist In Me)” in his Bahia
home, including the power of an all-girl drum corps – the only drums on the album.

Lzzy and her brother Arejay formed Halestorm in 1998 while in middle school. They immediately began playing local

Kid Rock will release his 8th studio album, Born Free, on November 16th via Atlantic Records. The record was produced
by Rick Rubin and mixed by Greg Fidelman. The first single from the album will be, appropriately, "Born Free" which hits
radio September 14th. Born Free is in many ways a transformational album for Kid Rock. While there is still the edge, wit,
and swagger of previous albums, he doesn't rap, there's no metal - there isn't even a parental warning sticker.
Says Kid Rock, "The catalyst for this record was Detroit, and my thoughts on the world through the lens of Detroit.
Watching everything go downhill over the past few years, the economy, the loss of jobs everywhere, I wanted to make a
record that reflected the times but that still had soul."
The bulk of the album was recorded live in a two week span in Los Angeles with a stellar cast of musicians including
Heartbreaker Benmont Tench, Red Hot Chili Pepper Chad Smith, David Hidalgo from Los Lobos and Chavez guitarist Matt
Sweeney. Studios in Detroit, Nashville and Atlanta were used to incorporate collaborations with Bob Seger, Sheryl Crow,
Zac Brown, Trace Adkins, and in a pairing surely never to be replicated - T.I. and Martina McBride on the track "Care." Kid
Rock and Rick Rubin, as friends, have spent many hours talking about their respective histories - starting in hip-hop,
crossing into and creating new territories - as well as the need for a great new American classic rock record that
challenges the field. Born Free is in part the result of those conversations - an album that is meant to be played from start

Kid Rock will release his 8th studio album, Born Free, on November 16th via Atlantic Records. The record was produced
by Rick Rubin and mixed by Greg Fidelman. The first single from the album will be, appropriately, "Born Free" which hits
radio September 14th. Born Free is in many ways a transformational album for Kid Rock. While there is still the edge, wit,
and swagger of previous albums, he doesn't rap, there's no metal - there isn't even a parental warning sticker.
Says Kid Rock, "The catalyst for this record was Detroit, and my thoughts on the world through the lens of Detroit.
Watching everything go downhill over the past few years, the economy, the loss of jobs everywhere, I wanted to make a
record that reflected the times but that still had soul."
The bulk of the album was recorded live in a two week span in Los Angeles with a stellar cast of musicians including
Heartbreaker Benmont Tench, Red Hot Chili Pepper Chad Smith, David Hidalgo from Los Lobos and Chavez guitarist Matt
Sweeney. Studios in Detroit, Nashville and Atlanta were used to incorporate collaborations with Bob Seger, Sheryl Crow,
Zac Brown, Trace Adkins, and in a pairing surely never to be replicated - T.I. and Martina McBride on the track "Care." Kid
Rock and Rick Rubin, as friends, have spent many hours talking about their respective histories - starting in hip-hop,
crossing into and creating new territories - as well as the need for a great new American classic rock record that
challenges the field. Born Free is in part the result of those conversations - an album that is meant to be played from start
to finish.

We were not making an album.
For months, we'd been destroying and rebuilding our band. The experiments that resulted filled the studio hard drive with
diverse, abstract sounds. Amorphous echoes, cacophonous samples, and handmade staccato merged into wandering,
elusive melody. Each track felt like a hallucination.
We didn't know if any of those unorthodox ideas could be incorporated into a traditional album, but we knew we didn't want
our next album to be predictable. Sitting together in the same studio where we made our first album, all six of us voiced a
commitment to going out on a limb, to making something truly daring. We asked ourselves: were we all earnestly willing,
more than ever before, to abandon the precepts of commercial ambition in pursuit of what we believe to be honest art?
The inclination to begin writing conventional songs for a conventional album came and went. The temptation to adjust our
creative vision to fulfill expectations beyond our studio walls yielded to the audacious ambition of what he hoped to achieve
as a band. The two years of making A Thousand Suns marked our exhilarating, surrealistic, and often challenging journey
into the creative unknown.
On the eve of its completion, this body of work, assembled through unconscious inspiration and unmitigated exertion, has
revealed to us notions both stirring and surprising. The album's personified imagery is neither dogma nor political
premeditation. The emergent themes and metaphors illuminate a uniquely human story.
A Thousand Suns grapples with the personal cycle of pride, destruction, and regret. In life, like in dreams, this sequence
is not always linear. And, sometimes, true remorse penetrates the devastating cycle. The hope, of course, springs from the
notion that the possibility of change is born in our most harrowing moments.

It's better if you don't understand; just listen and have a good time. That's the response Bruno Mars will give you with a
smile when asked to describe his sound and music. He would much rather sing, perform, and write his songs than talk
about them, but that is becoming more and more unavoidable these days. It might seem that Mars appeared out of
nowhere, co-writing, producing and performing on B.o.B's #1 "Nothin' On You" followed by Travie McCoy's chart-climbing
"Billionaire", but he makes one thing clear: "It's not an overnight success".
Mars is a multitalented singer, songwriter, producer and musician who feels most at home when he's performing. Born to a
musical family in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was practically raised on the stage. His father, a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn,
organized a Vegas-style revue that featured the entire family, including his mother, a talented vocalist. When a
four-year-old Mars observed his family performing Motown hits, doo-wop medleys and impersonations for enthusiastic
crowds all over his native Waikiki Beach, "I was jealous!" says Mars with a laugh. "My dad put me on stage and I
remember singing an Elvis song and that was it. Ever since that moment, I've been addicted."
As soon as he graduated high school, Mars left Hawaii for Los Angeles with dreams of launching his career as a
performer. Those dreams got put on hold, however, when The Smeezingtons, the songwriting/production team he founded
with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, suddenly took off. The pair has crafted major hits for a diverse roster of talent,
including Flo Rida's "Right Round", Travie McCoy's "Billionaire", Brandy's "Long Distance" and K'Naan's "Waving Flags",
which is the theme song for the upcoming World Cup.
On the heels of "Nothin' on You" and "Billionaire" and as a preview of what's to come from Bruno Mars, Elektra Records
released a 4-song EP aptly titled "It's Better If You Don't Understand". The title is taken from a lyric to "The Other Side";
one of the songs included that features Cee-Lo Green and re-teams Mars with B.o.B. The EP has gone on to sell over
20,000 units to date.
In preparation for his full length debut, Bruno recently released his first single "Just The Way You Are". The single is
already in heavy rotation across Top 40 stations nationwide and has sold over 200,000 units to date.
Although he's incredibly proud of the recordings, Mars feels the best way to experience the sound is to see him perform

It's better if you don't understand; just listen and have a good time. That's the response Bruno Mars will give you with a
smile when asked to describe his sound and music. He would much rather sing, perform, and write his songs than talk
about them, but that is becoming more and more unavoidable these days. It might seem that Mars appeared out of
nowhere, co-writing, producing and performing on B.o.B's #1 "Nothin' On You" followed by Travie McCoy's chart-climbing
"Billionaire", but he makes one thing clear: "It's not an overnight success".
Mars is a multitalented singer, songwriter, producer and musician who feels most at home when he's performing. Born to a
musical family in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was practically raised on the stage. His father, a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn,
organized a Vegas-style revue that featured the entire family, including his mother, a talented vocalist. When a
four-year-old Mars observed his family performing Motown hits, doo-wop medleys and impersonations for enthusiastic
crowds all over his native Waikiki Beach, "I was jealous!" says Mars with a laugh. "My dad put me on stage and I
remember singing an Elvis song and that was it. Ever since that moment, I've been addicted."
As soon as he graduated high school, Mars left Hawaii for Los Angeles with dreams of launching his career as a
performer. Those dreams got put on hold, however, when The Smeezingtons, the songwriting/production team he founded
with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, suddenly took off. The pair has crafted major hits for a diverse roster of talent,
including Flo Rida's "Right Round", Travie McCoy's "Billionaire", Brandy's "Long Distance" and K'Naan's "Waving Flags",
which is the theme song for the upcoming World Cup.
On the heels of "Nothin' on You" and "Billionaire" and as a preview of what's to come from Bruno Mars, Elektra Records
released a 4-song EP aptly titled "It's Better If You Don't Understand". The title is taken from a lyric to "The Other Side";
one of the songs included that features Cee-Lo Green and re-teams Mars with B.o.B. The EP has gone on to sell over
20,000 units to date.
In preparation for his full length debut, Bruno recently released his first single "Just The Way You Are". The single is
already in heavy rotation across Top 40 stations nationwide and has sold over 200,000 units to date.
Although he's incredibly proud of the recordings, Mars feels the best way to experience the sound is to see him perform
