Drummer Sean ‘Hammer’ Skimin and
singer Dale Wale visited FM radio
station CJXY 107.9 FM in Hamilton,
Ontario at the invitation of Brian West,
host of the GET HAMMERED indie
spotlight show on Wednesdays at
11:30pm. Fun times during an on-air
interview, and they played Poor Little
Rebel from the new album. You can
hear the broadcast on our website at
www.lushkings.com, just click on the
lushcast page and then click on the link.
CRUSH THINGS, the LushKings
second album was presented live to
an enthusiastic and well-lubricated
crowd at Toronto’s Black Swan
Tavern last fall. A highlight from the
album > special guest Brandon
Walker joined in on saxophone to
recreate the album’s jazz-rock cover
of the Beastie Boys “Fight For Your
Right”, then we jammed a bit. The
album was released officially March
3, 2008 and is easily found on the
internet. Radio stations Rock 95 in
Barrie (CFJB-FM 95.7), and Y108 in
Hamilton (CJXY-FM 107.9) have
played songs from the album. Let us
know if you hear them - and thanks!

Encore, encore…
‘Twas the season… We played rock
‘n’ roll Christmas tunes for Larry
Wilson
Construction’s
company
party in December 2007. Held at
the workshop, we felt right at
home amongst the tools, be cause
we are a D-I-Y band, ya know.

Santa’s Opening Act
-----------------------------------------Here we are playing on the beautiful
Dundee Securities float in the Aurora
Christmas Parade, where our rockin’
Xmas tunes got the crowd jumpin’ up
& down as Santa’s sleigh approached!
