GINA RÉCAMIER, also known as Madame Récamier, is a Mexican singer-song writer and
multi - instrumentalist.
In November 2009 she presents her debut
album “Chocolate”. The album was produced by
herself and it took her to play ¨Corona Capital”
and “Vive Latino”, the two most important festivals in Mexico. At the same time, she works
with a Mexican pop artist better known as “Aleks Syntek” playing synths and guitars as well as
background vocals.
In 2011 Madame was selected as one of the
winners of the first “María Grever Scholarship program” of the National Auditorium and
Authors and Composers Society of Mexico
(SACM).
In February 2013 she presents her second album: “ImaGina”, produced by a well
known musician from Monterrey, Chetes
Garza. The album received 3 nominations
for the Indie-o-music Awards 2014 for best
solo album, best pop album and video of the
year for the single “Luz Verde”.
This album demonstrates a more mature,
unique sound that expresses gratefulness
and love in a mix of melodic dream folk with
70´s elements.
ALBUMS
IMAGINA was made in a year full of personal experience
full of good moments and some hard times as well. Memories of her childhood and all the challenges life presented
for a girl her age (24) helped her create a story behind the
album.
In this story, Gina looks for a state of total happiness entering different portals that take her to become “Madame Récamier”. There she finds herself with the impossible love of
her life that makes her want to return to this special place.
Each song represents a bit of her imagination.
