Cosmic Harmony and Nova are delighted to announce the release of the long awaited new studio
album from Christopher Holland.
Corner Green is Chris’s 5 th album and features twelve original songs, one co-written with Chris
Difford, plus twelve bonus tracks including a unique cover of The Beach Boys song Funky Pretty
making this his most complete and varied work to date.
The lead track Everything’s Clear starts the album off in an uplifting melodic manner, delivering
subtle shades of George Harrison (this track has already received national airplay) and the captivating
chords of the Stevie Wonder inspired Funny Feeling, a soulful duet with up and coming guest singer
Katy Shotter, immediately mark this album out as something special.
Whether he’s singing about the beauty of life, loss, longing or the many forms of love, his organic
production (with Ron Box) and accomplished keyboard skills conjure up perfect melodic landscapes
that take the listener on a diverse and moving musical journey.
Chris’s warm vocals, delicate phrasing and sunshine harmonies are the perfect complement to his
heartfelt and moving lyrics, which combined with his skilful use of vintage analogue keyboards, takes
the listener on a musical journey through his imagination.
Influenced by Stevie Wonder,Todd Rundgren, Gilbert O’Sullivan and The Beatles this album
demonstrates a real flare for pop sensitivity alongside a genuine appreciation of musical history.
Corner Green beautifully combines the old and the new to create a fresh and current collection of
original and well crafted songs, for the 21 st Century.
Christopher Holland has had a distinguished musical career spanning some 25 years. Whether it be
playing and recording with the likes of Green on Red, Paul Weller, Squeeze, Stereophonics, Ray
Davies and Tom Jones to being a regular member of his older brother Jools Holland’s Rhythm and
Blues Orchestra, Chris hasn’t stopped making music.
