Just A Note
You can tell by the content of the newsletter that our activities and articles have gotten smaller. This is an
every season occurrence as our snowbirds head back to their summer homes. I'm sure everyone had a wonderful
season as there were many things to do and places to go. We will miss you all. Time now for our summer
residents to relax and enjoy the summer activities and the emptier space in the pool.
If you have not left yet, please be careful going home. The traffic headed north is probably worse than on
the way down so be especially mindful of crazy drivers. We want you back next year for more fun and games.
Keep us posted on your time away from us and don't forget to send some pictures over the summer too.
Follow us monthly at 4communitymedia.com.
Farewell Party
Good food, lots of laughter, great music!
Thanks everyone for making our farewell pool party a smash! Many people helped make this evening
special. Shout out to Diane and Scott Burgess for their time and efforts.
The luau dancers of 1985
The luau dancers of 2016
Thank you, Bea, for being the choreographer and lead dancer in both groups.
How To prevent a Carjacking
Thank You
Keep doors locked and windows shut.
Don't stop to assist a disabled motorist. Instead
contact a service station or police.
When stopped at a light, leave enough room between
you and the car in front that you could make an escape.
Be suspicious of anyone approaching the car with
fliers, asking for change or for directions. Be ready to
leave carefully, even if it means running a red light or
stop sign.
While driving, if struck from behind or in any
suspicious way, stay in your vehicle with the doors
locked and windows closed until police arrive. Activate
your vehicle's emergency flashers.
If you're very suspicious, get the other vehicle's
license number and drive to the nearest police station
or a well lighted area with lots of people.
If you think you are being followed, drive
immediately to an area with lots of lights and people
If possible, drive to the nearest law enforcement
office.
Obtain and use a cellular phone to call for help.
In Florida, dialing *FHP anywhere in the state from a
cellular phone will connect you with the nearest Florida
Highway Patrol station.
A special shout out to the women of Stitchin' and
Bitchin' sewing group for the gift of a lap blanket donated
to George during his recent surgery and recovery at
home. Your thoughtfulness was so appreciated.

Blessing Bags Of Bradenton
Barbara Hires, of the Blessing Bags Organization
and a Seabreeze resident, would like to express her
gratitude to the Stitchin' and Bitchin' Ladies sewing
group of Seabreeze for their generous donation of
$100.00. This will help to continue supporting those
in our community who are less fortunate and need
assistance.
Elvis at Seabreeze Evening
A wonderful evening was spent with Elvis. Lots
of dancing with a great impersonation of Elvis. The
dance floor was full and everyone had such a good
time. Different folks dressed for the occasion in 50's &
60's outfits. What fun! Everyone brought their favorite
treat and shared it with others. The “Share a treat” table
Ladies Luncheon
was great. Elvis may return next year. Thank you for
your support.
Ladies Luncheon for May will be at the Sage Biscuit

I Need A Hug
When I'm happy
When I'm sad
When I'm lonely
When I'm depressed
I need a hug
When I meet a friend
When I see my love
When I want to get close
When I want a touch
I need a hug
This little embrace
This simple touch
This simple expression
Can give so much when
I need a hug

Humor Corner
As you get older you've got to stay positive,
For example, the other day I fell down the stairs......
Instead of getting upset I just thought,
“Wow, that's the fastest I've moved in years”
As a senior citizen was driving down the motorway,
his car phone rang.
Answering, he heard His wife's voice urgently
warning him “Vernon, I just heard on the news that
there's a car going the wrong way on I-25. Please
be careful.”
“Heck,” said Vernon, “It's not just one car, it's
hundreds of them!”
My Pet Mikey
Oh Mikey-What a cat you are.
Such a little kitten with blue eyes.
You just fit in the palm of my hand
and I was smitten.
Now you're all grown
and a big boy you are.
You wake me up with a
touch of your paw on my cheek.
And if I don't get up
you jump on my feet.
“Mommy, get up
I want breakfast”
and if I don't get up
He will race around the house
and pretend to catch a mouse.
He is the king of my castle
and does not want me to have another.
You sprawl on my desk
when I'm paying bills
and thump your tail
which sends everything flying.
I try to ignore him but he's not content
until I pat him on the head
and tell him what a good boy he is.
My Mikey Poo, I love you.

Quotes

a painful experience, but you choose consciously
not to act on that need, you take a step toward love.”
