The year 2010 has been great so far for Le Cordon Bleu Dusit
as the school once again received an overwhelming interest
for both the cuisine and pâtisserie courses as part of the
school’s “Classic Cycle” in January. The school is currently
accepting applications for the year’s second term, which will
begin in mid-April.
In addition to the traditional “Classic Cycle” offered by Le
Cordon Bleu Dusit, the school is now offering premium
short courses in Barista, Boulangerie, and wine studies. The
Barista course, opened in partnership with Lavazza, presents
an opportunity for students to study the art of coffee making.
Boulangerie classes provide students with the chance to gain
the in-depth knowledge of bread-making techniques. Finally,
the wine studies course offers an opportunity for students
to learn the wine theory from the growing stage as well as
having the chance to taste wine from different regions of the
world.
2010 promises to be an exciting year for Le Cordon Bleu Dusit
as the school has seen a recent expansion with the addition
of both demo room and practical kitchen. Furthermore,
the school will soon be offering the “Professional” level, an
addition to our Classic Cycle as well as the Professional

“Encouraging our students to develop their talents is a top
priority as we aim to produce the most quality graduates to
match the requirement of the international hospitality industry
standard. We always emphasize on training and developing
new talents in order to strengthen hospitality and culinary
standards. Quality-wise, after our students completed their
courses they are very well accepted in the industry,” said Veera
Pardpattanapanich, Rector, Dusit Thani College.
The hotel training programme is hands on, as students must gain
1,000 hours of industry experience. Some of the students have
their internship in the US or Europe for a year as part of their
programme. Many Dusit Thani College graduates have gained
employment in word-class hospitality organisations around the
world, including New Zealand, Australia, UK, France, Italy,
Canada, USA and Asia.
The college of 2,000 students is also known for its international
programmes, which welcomes both local and overseas students.
Pardpattanapanich added “Currently, there are some foreign
students, but we would like to see more of them. We now offer 2
International Programmes for undergraduate students including
Hotel Management, and Kitchen and Restaurant Management
(a joint degree with Le Cordon Bleu). We can also tailor short
courses, such as Thai desserts or Thai fruit and vegetable carving,
designed especially for International students.”
“But most importantly, every student must have strong service
mind. You have to get up early, go to sleep late and smile all day
long. This has to come from your heart. You have to be happy
when you service people. If you do not have the service mindset,
this might not be the school for you,” said Pardpattanapanich.

It was five years ago when Mr Emad El Hazek, a
leading Egyptian developer, was holidaying in

The year 2010 has been great so far for Le Cordon Bleu Dusit
as the school once again received an overwhelming interest
for both the cuisine and pâtisserie courses as part of the
school’s “Classic Cycle” in January. The school is currently
accepting applications for the year’s second term, which will
begin in mid-April.
In addition to the traditional “Classic Cycle” offered by Le
Cordon Bleu Dusit, the school is now offering premium
short courses in Barista, Boulangerie, and wine studies. The
Barista course, opened in partnership with Lavazza, presents
an opportunity for students to study the art of coffee making.
Boulangerie classes provide students with the chance to gain
the in-depth knowledge of bread-making techniques. Finally,
the wine studies course offers an opportunity for students
to learn the wine theory from the growing stage as well as
having the chance to taste wine from different regions of the
world.
2010 promises to be an exciting year for Le Cordon Bleu Dusit
as the school has seen a recent expansion with the addition
of both demo room and practical kitchen. Furthermore,
the school will soon be offering the “Professional” level, an
addition to our Classic Cycle as well as the Professional

“Encouraging our students to develop their talents is a top
priority as we aim to produce the most quality graduates to
match the requirement of the international hospitality industry
standard. We always emphasize on training and developing
new talents in order to strengthen hospitality and culinary
standards. Quality-wise, after our students completed their
courses they are very well accepted in the industry,” said Veera

The hotel training programme is hands on, as students must gain
1,000 hours of industry experience. Some of the students have
their internship in the US or Europe for a year as part of their
programme. Many Dusit Thani College graduates have gained
employment in word-class hospitality organisations around the
world, including New Zealand, Australia, UK, France, Italy,
Canada, USA and Asia.
The college of 2,000 students is also known for its international
programmes, which welcomes both local and overseas students.
Pardpattanapanich added “Currently, there are some foreign
students, but we would like to see more of them. We now offer 2
International Programmes for undergraduate students including
Hotel Management, and Kitchen and Restaurant Management
(a joint degree with Le Cordon Bleu). We can also tailor short
courses, such as Thai desserts or Thai fruit and vegetable carving,
designed especially for International students.”
“But most importantly, every student must have strong service
mind. You have to get up early, go to sleep late and smile all day
long. This has to come from your heart. You have to be happy
when you service people. If you do not have the service mindset,
this might not be the school for you,” said Pardpattanapanich.
