President’s Message: Chad Moody
Associates Council
As we enter into the holiday season, I hope you get
a moment to reflect on this year's blessings with
family, friends and work. Everyone seems to be
busy, there is a lot of growth occurring in Midland,
our Parade of Homes event was very successful and
contracts are out for the 2014 Home and Garden
Show.
Hey Everyone! Hunt night was a blast!! Thanks
to everyone for contributing to make it a successful evening. A big round of applause to Doug
Krawczak and Ann Ratcliffe for the delicious dinner.
Please encourage those you do business with to join
the HBA. This is an association that builds our communities, is strong legislatively, is made up of good
people, and is fun. It is a great mix and a great thing
to be a part of.
Christmas is just around the corner and with it
our wonderful Holiday Party. This year our Holiday Party will be held at the Midland Resort on
Wednesday, December 4th. The event kicks off
at 6pm with a cocktail hour and dinner will be
served at 7pm. This year’s entertainment will be
provided by comedian Jason Cooper. We hope
to see you all there!
Have a safe and fun Thanksgiving….who knows,
maybe the Lions will win this year.
Chad Moody, President
Sherry Mizer, Chair
Remodelers Council
We had a wonderful time having Mike Rudy host our most recent Remodeler’s
meeting and were pleased that the Saginaw HBA sent representation. We have
scheduled the rest of the year with some great hosts so please watch for the
announced meetings in future newsletters. One in particular will be an excellent
morning session in February with Kyle Hunt; if you haven’t heard him
speak you won’t want to miss him-more to come.
To all you deer drinkers, I mean deer hunters! have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

E O Expressions
I LOVE Thanksgiving and
this time of year! I have
fond memories of Thanksgiving at my grandparents
big ole farmhouse with the
not so big kitchen where
parents, aunts, uncles,
grandparents and cousins
would all squeeze into the
kitchen, that also housed
the wood stove to keep us
warm, and for some reason
that darn kids table always
fit right in too. Do you remember “graduating” to
the adult table and secretly
looking at the kids still at
“that” table? I guess it
wasn’t so bad! Blessings!
