community to host the Annual Membership Celebration. This is the eleventh

Tullahoma is a great
community in which to
live, work, and to do business. As a native of Tullahoma, I have seen this
community grow, change,
and thrive. I have been a

and livelihood of our citizens and our businesses.
This is a good analogy of
the Chamber and its leaders over the years. The
folks have changed with
time but the dedication
to the mission of improving the business climate
within our community has
remained the same.
There are many things

Chamber and within our
community here in 2016.
There are always businesses opening, renovating or expanding. The
Chamber is presently in
the midst of a major floorto-ceiling renovation of
our building downtown
at the corner of Lincoln
and Jackson Streets. The
Chamber saw many new
businesses open in 2015
and more in the planning
stages for 2016.
The mission statement
of the Chamber is to identify and represent the interests and advancement
of its members and to promote a vision of economic
growth while showcasing
the area as a desirable
place to live, work, and
visit. I see this goal being
manifested best in focusing on serving the needs

2015 Chamber President
It’s been a busy
year. We started the
year with one strategy
which was to increase
tangible benefits to our
members. We planned
on accomplishing this
by achieving four goals.
The first was to unveil our
new website. Second
was to integrate the software package Chamber
Master with our website.
Third we committed to
host five business development seminars with at
least two at no cost to
our members. Lastly, we
were to develop a plan
for the Chamber’s future
physical facilities.
I am happy to report
that with the hard work
of your Chamber Staff,
the Chamber Board,
Ambassadors, Committee Chairs, and all of the
Committee
Volunteers,
we achieved our goals
and more.
Our website is now
current and state of the
art. It is fully updateable by our Chamber
Staff and allows for not
only static information
about the Chamber but
also provides a platform
to communicate current
news, as well as a list

of upcoming events and
much more. The website
coupled with Chamber
Master provides the ability to register for events
and pay for those events,
as well as your annual
membership dues with a
credit card. Additionally,
we replaced numerous
mass emails with Member Monday which projects a professional single
communication that better serves our members.
We also introduced
Chamber Chat and enhanced our presence on
social media. We now
have current Chamber
information on Facebook, Twitter, Google+,
and currently working on
implementing Instagram
for the future. With all of
these improvements, we
can now say our digital
image truly represents the
professionalism of our
Chamber.
During this year, we
coordinated five Business Development seminars with four of those
free to Chamber members. Over a hundred
people took advantage
of those seminars with
eighty-three of those participants being Chamber
members who attended
for free. Thus providing
a forum for our members
to enhance their business and professional
skills all included in the
price of their annual
membership.
Lastly, we have gone
beyond our commitment
to develop a plan for
the Chamber’s physical
facilities. We have not
only formulated a plan
but are roughly halfway
through a remodeling
project that will bring
a professional appearance to your Chamber’s
office. This will not only
allow for a great environment to work and
meet, but also provide a
valuable first impression
to anyone visiting our
community for the first
time.
