* Must Pass the PRAXIS I Academic Core exam within the first semester of enrolling in Education coursework
at Shenandoah University. SAT or ACT scores which meet or exceed scores set by the VDOE may be
substituted for Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators Tests.
The suggested coursework for the Associate of Arts and Science in Education is meant to meet the requirements
for the University Studies, Elementary Education track teacher licensure track at Shenandoah University, and is
not required for admission to Shenandoah University. This curriculum will advance students directly into Junior
