Here are a few to ponder. There are lots more. Pet a pooch or two at the Choctaw Branch Take the family out to the Choctaw Branch at 10:30 a.m. on July 9 for a lesson in pet care and pet owner responsibility and pet a few cute critters while you’re there. This program is free and open to the public. Yay, reptiles! They’re everywhere... Get up close and personal (or as close as you’d like) to a caiman crocodile, monitor lizards, turtles, and snakes when Party with Reptiles visits your local branch. Check out Page 2 for dates and times. It’s free and open to the public. Audubon Wetland Wildlife Express comes to Thibodaux The Audubon Zoo’s Wetland Wildlife Express will teach children about wetlands and the creatures that inhabit them during its visit to the Thibodaux Branch at 10:30 a.m. on July 25. It’s free and open to the public. Meet friends or colleagues at the Wi-Fi Cafe Calliope Puppets to perform at main library branches Join us for a great performance when Calliope Puppets visits our main branches in July. Vol. 5, Issue 7 Page 7 Stuffed Animal Sleepover Ms. Maria was bombarded with stuffed animals in June for the South Lafourche Branch’s first Stuffed Animal Sleepover. Nearly 80 stuffed animals spent the night at the library, made new friends, read and played games, and, yes, got into a little mischief. Join us after Storytime on July 10 to see what they got into overnight. Here’s a preview. *Painting Workshop with Frank Kelley Jr. South Lafourche Branch July 9 - 12, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. For ages 6 and up.
