PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATE
The Pastoral Search Committee thanks the church for their patience and prayers.
A candidate they believe God has led to serve at First Baptist Church of Hurricane
will be introduced this Sunday. His bio will be available at that time.
Please be in prayer for this candidate and his family. Let us pray collectively
as a church family to have open hearts and open minds to search not our will,
but God's will for the future of First Baptist Church of Hurricane and the
community and beyond in which we are to further His Kingdom.
We are excited for our church family to meet this candidate.

Your gift meets the needs of people struggling in many ways.
After a tornado or hurricane, your gift helps to rebuild homes
and communities. When people are hungry, your gift provides for the
seeds and tools to grow nutritious food. When people have had to flee
their home – whether in Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, El Salvador, or the many
other countries in which chaos and civil unrest today have required people
to become displaced—your gift provides for shelter, food, medicines and
water to sustain life. Your individual gift, regardless of the size, matters.
Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing multiply a thousand times over,
enabling the Church as one body to achieve significant change in the world.

Sunday, June 19th is Father’s Day. Let’s stand and boldly proclaim
our reliance on God alone to help us be the kind of fathers we
need to be - ones who wholly present our lives to Him! You will
have the opportunity to show this in our AM services as part of a
Men’s Chorus. No – this is not just for men in the choir – but for
all men, fathers, father figures and even young men who aspire to
someday be Godly fathers. Let’s tell God with our participation
that we aren’t just on the sidelines but on the front line for Him.
We will only have 2 brief rehearsals. The first will be this
Sunday, June 5, at 5:45 PM in the Sanctuary. We’ve made it an easy time since
you’re likely coming for the “Meet the Candidate” session at 6:30 in the Family
Life Center. We will allow you plenty of time to get your seat for this session.
Our second rehearsal will be Sunday, June 12th at 5:45 in the Sanctuary. We not
be able to surprise our children but God can surprise them with what we can
accomplish when we offer ourselves to Him. And…..there is no upper age
limit. We really need our senior fathers to take the lead!
