Candice Rosenkranz - Sigma Chi Fraternity
The Iota Iota Chapter at The University of Alabama presents Quick Facts About Iota Iota: • Founded October 29, 1876 • Brotherhood of over 110 • Peterson Outstanding Chapter in 2009 and 2010 • Recently donated $30,000 to charity, and has given more than $150,000 since 2002 thanks to Derby Days Dear Brothers of Sigma Chi, If chosen as International Sweetheart, I will participate in province workshops, attend International events, and visit as many chapters as possible. My leadership role within the largest collegiate Greek system in the United States gives me the foundation needed to represent all of Sigma Chi. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for Sigma Chi – the world could learn a lot from the White Cross. However, I view the responsibility of serving as International Sweetheart much more than a checklist of responsibilities. As Sweetheart, my decisions and actions would represent 235 chapters. I promise that I will represent Sigma Chi with ambitious purposes and a congenial disposition. I hold Sigma Chi very dear to my heart, and I would be honored to give back to an organization that has given me so much. Thank you for allowing me to be considered to represent Sigma Chi as your International Sweetheart. Candice Rosenkranz International Sweetheart Finalist About Candice Candice helped her sorority, Phi Mu, win Derby Days in 2008. Above: Candice won the award for Best SGA Director in 2011. Right: Candice with brother Chris Peterson at a Sigma Chi formal in 2009. Candice served as director of recruitment for the Alabama Panhellenic Association and was voted Most Outstanding Executive Board Member in 2011. "As vice president for the Interfraternity Council at UA, I worked closely with Candice, a Panhellenic executive council member. Her leadership skills made her the perfect partner to establish Hydrate Haiti, a campus-wide fundraiser. She was instrumental in engaging brothers of Sigma Chi in this philanthropy, which helped to raise over $50,000," -Ben Ford, 2009-2010 IFC vice president "Her involvement on campus is overwhelming. She is articulate, intelligent and a role model to not only her sorority, but to brothers in Sigma Chi as well. She has proven her responsibility and drive through her leadership positions across campus, but she is still one of the most approachable and humble young women I have ever met. Candice is dedicated to the chapter and a close friend to many brothers, so it came as no surprise when she was nominated for International Sweetheart," -David Ascik, 2010-2011 consul Sorority: Recruitment Chair/Membership Director, Recruitment Committee, Scholarship Committee, Derby Days Chair Campus Honors: Outstanding Panhellenic Officer, Gene Stallings Award: Outstanding SGA member in Athletic Services, Sigma Chi Sweetheart, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society, Order of Alpha Greek Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Dean's List Future Plans: Candice has been accepted into the Sport Management Graduate Program at UA, and will start this fall.
