By employing the skills I have learned during the immersive UX Design course at General Assembly and those I have obtained working with OurSay, I am able to gain insights that enable me to design rough lofidelity prototypes to show simply how a site or feature could work, as well as high-fidelity prototypes in Axure. During usability testing, I am able to reflect on user feedback and recommend and iterate design changes to the prototypes for a better user experience. I am looking for a User Experience position that enables me to apply all the skills and knowledge I have gained so far. I want to gain a better understanding, and develop my skill base further in a multi-varied role where I can be exposed to many different projects to assist in my own personal development and learn from experience. I operated as the Research Lead on this project that was initiated during the immersive program at General Assembly, before leading to contract work for implementation of the website pages. The original project brief was to re-design the homepage for the company, as they believed this was inhibiting their sales for web-generated leads. After some initial research and current state analysis, we discovered that the problem was not so simple and we drafted a return statement of work. This required the re-design of 4 of the web pages for their website. The problem statement was that the lack of product information, bad information architecture and SEO optimization of their site led to zero web-generated sales leads. The solution was a content strategy and Information Architecture based resolution of the redesign of 4 pages of the website. This would lead to increased web-generated sales leads, and would allow the website to act as an information support base for the sales team during the initial seeding stage of the sales process. § § § § § § § § § § § § § Current state analysis of the website Conducting a competitive analysis of direct competitors of OurSay Conducting a site audit for OurSay using the Screaming Frog tool Facilitating face-to-face stakeholder interviews and over the phone Facilitating target user phone interviews and face-to-face Affinity diagramming Synthesizing insights for persona development, user flows, sitemap generation Creating usability testing scripts and tasks, facilitating usability testing in-person with target audience Using un-moderated online testing tools such as www.usertesting.com Content strategy and sample content writing, SEO optimization recommendations, keyword research Facilitating a design thinking workshop Ideation and design solutions based on user feedback from testing Presentation to OurSay Stakeholders 09/2015-12/2015 General Assembly UX Designer Melbourne, AUS During the immersive User Experience program at General Assembly, we worked on multiple projects solo and in teams.
