This coming year, we will celebrate our Silver Jubilee Anniversary with a
number of exciting cultural, music and social programs.

The 2007 committee has set a high bar with a highly successful past year.
I personally thank Shambhvi Desai and her committee for their guidance
and commitment.
Since 1984, our Samaj has steadily grown into a "giant family"! Over the
past two decades, the organization has been a powerful voice within the
Pittsburgh region through the celebration of our Gujarati culture and
traditions. The 2008 Committee begins this Gala year with the blessings,
good wishes, and assistance from all members of our community,
especially our revered elders. My committee is looking forward to working
hard and serving the Samaj this year with diverse programs and activities.
We start off the year with the highly acclaimed Gujarati drama, "Balwant
ane Babli," on February 29, 2008. As you review the events calendar,
you will notice a number of powerful and exciting programs this coming
year. Take advantage of all these benefits by renewing your annual
membership.

Gujarati Samaj is proud to announce that The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ran a full page story on Mahendra
Shah, our one and only cartoonist and artist friend in the January 17th and 18th morning and evening editions.
The story highlighted Mahendrabhai's unique talents in cartooning and painting and also spoke of his success
as a businessman. Most importantly, it discussed his contributions as an active community service oriented
person. Bravo! Congratulations, Mahendrabhai! Keep up the good work, we are proud of you.
