Thank you Fr. Todd for all you do for St. Anthony, the Kenosha Community and St. Joseph Catholic Academy. God Bless Fr. Todd !! Dear Friends So you are a king then?” said Pilate. “Yes I am a king. I was born for this, I came into the world for this: to bear witness to the truth; and all who are on the side of truth listen to my voice.” Christ is the King of the universe. That is what we celebrate this final week of the liturgical year before we enter into advent. Jesus Christ reigns supreme over all of creation throughout all time. It is a comforting reality to know that we have a God that loves us as our Lord Jesus does. For the reason of our redemption He came into the world. He frees us from sin. He makes our soul new again through the shedding of His blood. His one sole purpose was to come and seek out the lost: all of us. He gives witness to truth. God’s love is stronger than our disobedience. Love always conquers evil. God always wins. His witness is that humble submission to the Father’s will is the true path to happiness. Overcoming our selfishness to live for God’s glory through the embrace of our neighbor, even to the point of sacrificing for our enemies, this is the measure of our following of Jesus. There are sides. Those who listen to Him follow. Those who have heard His voice act. Those who have been touched by the love of God give witness. The Kingdom of Christ is for the valiant, courageous, decisive, person willing to take on the task of living a life of love. It is a counter cultural kingdom that desires to live by what is right according to the Church’s teachings without surrendering to the ways of the world through lives dedicated to pleasure, honor, wealth, and power. It is a kingdom that is and always will be eternal. Let us hear the loving voice of Jesus call us to His mercy. Let us commit our lives wholeheartedly to the truth. Let us not be afraid of the demands of true love even if it means surrendering sinful habits. To be a part of His Kingdom is worth the struggle. Let the Lord speak to you. May the Lord Jesus bless you abundantly this week with His Grace. Fr.
