PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The program is designed to provide a
comprehensive in-depth, detailed overview of new, controversial, challenging, and
provocative colorectal themes. A live surgery day, advanced transanal surgery workshop
including wet lab, and afternoon scientific paper session are being offered as additional
educational opportunities. Attendance at the Symposium will provide the attendees
with a detailed analysis of the current status of every major colorectal area. Video
demonstrations will help improve competencies and patient outcomes. Multidisciplinary
integration amongst surgery, gastroenterology, imaging and pathology will be emphasized
in combined sessions centered upon the definitions and optimization of patient outcomes.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The 15th Annual Surgery of the Foregut
Symposium will provide surgeons and other health care professionals a wide range
of information related to new and well established topics in gastrointestinal surgery.
Attendees will become familiar with surgical aspects of conventional, laparoscopic,
robotic, and endoscopic surgery of the foregut. In addition, attendees will acquire indepth information related to the diagnosis and management of disease processes of the
esophagus, stomach, duodenum, liver, and biliary tree. The program will review complex
case scenarios and complications after foregut procedures.
The 3rd Annual International Congress of Fluorescent Guided Imaging Surgery is focusing
on the new era of research on near infrared (NIR) imaging. The concept is based on
the utilization of infrared light as a tool to guide surgery. This unique course will offer
an updated and better understanding of the novel technique. Our goal is to foster the
exchange of information and ideas on fluorescence imaging and its applications in surgery.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Physicians, residents, fellows, nurses, wound care professionals, physician assistants,
and allied health professionals specializing in colorectal surgery, general surgery,
laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery and gastroenterology.
This symposium will focus on practical and evidence-based aspects of managing
the difficult GI disorders in gastroenterology and hepatology practice. This 3-day
symposium will provide guidance to attendees on diagnostics and management
of challenging cases in clinical practice and latest advances in the field, including
esophageal diseases, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, small bowel and
pancreatic diseases, and endoscopy. Each session will include didactic presentations
followed by a panel discussion about the optimal approach to the diagnosis and
management of the presented topics.
