With the new woodWOP version 7 the
HOMAG Group AG heralds a new age in
machine-oriented programming. Apart from
many new functions, especially the optional
CAM plugin provides a totally new way
to program routing paths: When in former

via contour elements, the CAM plugin
actually allows to select a surface
according to which the software then
automatically calculates the required
paths.

CAM-Plugin
This software module extends woodWOP to a CAD/CAM-system
providing the opportunity, depending on the machine equipment,
of 3-, 4- and 5-axis processing of 3D-surfaces. It is directly integrated in
the woodWOP-user interface and includes the following new macros:
New macros for roughing, finishing and sizing of 3D-objects
Generation of routing paths from 3-axis processing up to interpolating
5-axis processing

3D-CAD
The design possibilities in woodWOP are extended by 3D-CAD
functions. The operator has got the opportunity to create 3D surfaces
in a simple way or to open completed 3D-models directly in woodWOP.

Simulation
For an optimal control, the routing paths are already presented in
woodWOP during the creation of the programs. The actual routing path,
the approach and retract paths and the crossing paths are displayed
in different colors. The tool can be presented and simulated in order to
control the tool movements.

The additional processing simulation allows to
simulate the workpiece prior to the actual
