SCRUNCHY HAIR BOW CLIPPIE SUPPLIES (For one Scrunchy Hair Bow Clippie): • • • • • • Mini Bowdabra with the Mini Bowdabra Hand Wand 12” of 2” wide ribbon 8” of 1/8” wide ribbon 5” of 1/4” wide ribbon Double Prong Alligator Clip Hot Glue Gun PUTTING IT TOGETHER…… 1. Begin by gathering all the materials you will need for this project. Then place the 1/8” wide ribbon into the bottom of the Mini Bowdabra. Leave at least an inch on each side of the Mini Bowdabra. 2. Cut the 2” wide ribbon to any desired length. For my purposes, 12” in length seemed to be optimal for the hair clippies. Once the ribbon is cut, seal both ends of the ribbon with a lighter. Gently run the lighter along the very edge of the ribbon to prevent fraying. 3. Slide the 2” wide ribbon down into the center of the Mini Bowdabra. Continue to gather the ribbon in an accordion style until you reach the end of your ribbon. 4. Scrunch down with the wand. 5. While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, take your 1/8” wide ribbon and tie it. Slowly lift the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra, pull the 1/8” wide ribbon tightly, and then tie a knot around the Scrunchy Hair Bow. 6. Fluff, shape, and set aside your Scrunchy Hair Bow. 7. Leave your 1/4” ribbon on the spool, seal the end of the ribbon with a lighter. Take the sealed end of the ribbon and hot glue it to the bottom of your alligator clip. 8. Fold the ribbon onto the top of the alligator clip and attach with hot glue. Do NOT cut the ribbon, yet. 9. Attach the Scrunchy Hair Bow to the top of the ribbon lined alligator clip. Use the 1/8” wide ribbon tails to tie it to the top center of the clip. Pull tight and knot the ribbon to the underneath of the clip. 10. Trim the 1/8” ribbon close to the knot. Next, cut the 1/4” ribbon, from the spool, the length of the alligator clip. Seal the end of the 1/4" ribbon, and then hot glue it to the underneath of the clip. 11. Make two Scrunchy Hair Bow Clippies for matching pig-tails!
