Säffle Tourist Information Centre has the fishing licence
To fish in the Säffle district you need a fishing licence. The licence can be bought at
Säffle Tourist Information Centre or online at www.destinationvarmland.se Please
contact them for more information about prices and rules in the different areas.

City fishing
There are very good fishing possibilities in the middle of Säffle town. Byälven holds
one of Swedens, maybe even Europes, best fishing waters for pikeperch. Other
fish to bite the hook are pike, perch, white bream, tench, ide and bream. Bring your
fishing rod and enjoy fishing with the city murmuring in the distance.

Fishing in beautiful scenery
Harefjorden, Sjönsjö and Summeln offer you varied fishing in beautiful scenery.
Pike, perch, white bream, bream, pikeperch and roach will bite the hook in these
waters. It will be nothing but a relaxing day in these extremely pittoresque surroundings.

Alone in the woods
Welcome to fish in the realm of the Svan lakes. It´s only you and nature at the lakes
around Svanskog. Species found in the lakes are pike, perch, rudd, bream, burbot
and roach. You will surely have a pleasant fishing. In Svanskog there is a shop where
you can fill your picnic hamper. Buy the fishing licence for the lakes online at www.
ifiske.se Please note, you need to Swedish mobile subscription card when it is
purchase via mobile

Open waters
If you prefer open waters you can start out at the camping at Duse Udde. It is an
amazing park for fishing and recreation with a great view over the majestic and
marvellous lake Vänern. For more information about the camping see
