XH558 4.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up, with everything from previous
versions having been stripped down and re-imagined to create the best possible
experience. Due to the way that we have designed XH558 4.0, it allowed us to focus
on what really mattered in creating a piece of software fitting for one of Britain’s most
iconic examples of aeronautical prowess.
Speed
XH558 4.0 now makes full use of cutting edge cloud technologies to enable the app
to be as lightweight as possible. Using a clever technique of caching the data we
need, the app manages to use as little space as possible without the requirement for
a constant network connection.
Design
The design of XH558 4.0 has been meticulously planned and developed to make it as
useful and innovative as possible. Using subtle gradients and sophisticated design
techniques we were able to create a design that allows you to concentrate on the
content that you want to see in an unobtrusive but beautiful design harness.

into the sky. Our improved Flight Status service pushes the latest updates right to your
pocket, making missing unmissable moment’s truly unmissable.
The ultimate way to keep track
Following last years trials of XH558 Spotter, we realised that a tool to track the
progress of XH558 in flight was highly sought after among supporters. With XH558
4.0, we’re introducing Flight Tracker, the ultimate tool for fans of the last flying Avro
Vulcan. Flight Tracker provides you with regular location reports direct from the
cockpit, keeping you right up to date wherever you are.
