W1 – Goals
On the surface, GOALS define what you want to
achieve. Even further they provide a plan and direction
to achieve them. Consider a house as a goal analogy,
the roof represents what you ultimately want to
accomplish (Long Term Goals), the foundation
represents the smaller goals (Short Term Goals) that
would help you reach the long term goals, and the
walls represent the little things that you need to do
(Process Goals) to achieve the short term goals. Finally
the studs of the house are the
qualities/characteristics that you need to employ in
order to stick to the goal, Hard Work, Determination,
No Excuses etc.
Whenever you set a goal, consider your foundation,
your roof, your walls and what you are prepared to do
to keep it all together.
What goals have you set this summer? How
strong is your house?
