YEEOOWIII That was our immediate reaction to the
tust free flight we made with the Cox Tee-Dee .020
bipe, plans for which are on the following pages. It's a
pip of a model, and we've no doubt at all that it'll go
equally well on an .010 too. Be sure of that side thrust
(same for control line) and to fit the prop ott back to
foxt if you don't want a searing ruce track performance
on YOUR fi.st flight too. We grossly utrderestimat€d
the power of the new Te€-De€!
The control line ve$ion has had checks with the
AM .049 and the AS 55 diesel, eithor of which give
loops, 'ringove$ and inverted flight on lines as short as
15 ft. long. Wiigs are set at zero incidence and the
balance is forward for C/L use. otherwise there's rcmarkably little differenc€ belweenthe two, except of course
for the tailplaDes.

Cut out all + in, balsa parts. Fit engine beareB in
+ in. fuselage on C/L model, drill holes for engine bolts
and woodsoews. For Te€-Dee F/F version, mouot the
scrap + iD. fairing and * in. ply bulkhead. Coat all
surfaces with two applications of sanding sealer and
whe! hard, commeoce assembly. For C/L model join
top wing halvesfdt, key interplanestruts (wirh 18 s.w.g.
strengtheners)into wings, using the card templatesas a
jig to set the aDgleof wing staggerand equal incidence.
For the F/F veNion the dihedral aDgle is set by cracking
the lower wi[g down its c€trtre line and keying the two
sets of wing halves with the idterplaDe struts, using the
samejigs. The contre of lower wing is then pimed down
and the jig setsthe dibedral. Use spacersbetweenupp€r
and lower wings at centre (referring to plan for gap)
and butt join top halves with upper I in. fairing to
strengthen. While the widSs ate settiog, make up the
"N" struts from i in. sq. When set, add fairing below
upper wing c/s€ction, join fuselage to lo$er wiDg, and
fit N struts. Mount fin, Attach 18 s.w.g. bruss control
horn as bellqank mount and 22 s.wg. light alloy elevator
horll to C/L elevators which are joined with * dowel and
sew to tailplane. Bolt bellcrank iir position aird make up
controls, notitrg the lead-out guide-at Port strut. Fashio;
the undercardage legs and bind with tbread at the axle
end, Then sew to fuselage. Retain wheels with fuel tubing.

transfer decoration for F/F. When dope is dry mouot
engine and tank. For C/L this js retaitredby a length of
