Apply the foam glue onto the wing root and the fiberglass wing tube. Step5. Install nose wheel to the fuselage. Step2. Attach two wing panels together. Step6. Install the wing onto the fuselage. Step3. Attach the main wheels to the landing gear. Step7. Install the wing strut onto the fuselage and wing. Step4. Insert and glue the landing gear into the fuselage. 3 Step8. Cut a slot at the tail of the fuselage for the horizontal tail. Step12. With the elevator servo centered, connect the pushrod to the control horn. Step9. Insert and glue the horizontal tail onto the fuselage. Step13. Install the prop and spinner to the motor. Step10. Glue the vertical tail onto the fuselage. Step11. With the rudder servo centered, connect the pushrod to the control horn. 4 5. Radio system Setup Move throttle stick upwards to go flying For more ESC setup information, please refer to the manual for Hobbywing Skywalker series. Instruction below is for RTF version (Flysky FS-T4B radio system) Receiver Connections Center of Gravity The recommended CG is 60mm from the leading edge of the wing. Bind the receiver to the transmitter 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Insert the bind plug into the BATT port on the receiver. Connect the receiver battery to any open port except the Bind port. The LED light on the receiver keeps flashing. Press and hold the bind button on the transmitter, then power on the transmitter The LED light turns to solid. The binding is completed. Set the control throw Elevator Up 8mm Linear measurement measured at widest part of elevator (roughly in the center). Throttle range setting 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Switch on the transmitter, move the throttle stick to the top position. Connect battery pack to the ESC, and wait for about 2 seconds The “beep beep” tone should be emitted, that means the top point of throttle range has been confirmed Move throttle stick to the bottom position, several “beep-”tone should be emitted to present the amount of the battery cells. A long “beep-” tone should be emitted, that means the lowest point of throttle range has been correctly confirmed. Aileron Up 8mm 2. 3. 4. Down 8mm Linear measurement (inches) measured at root. Rudder Left 8mm Right 8mm Linear measurement (inches) measured at front of counterbalance. Normal startup procedure 1. Down 8mm Move throttle stick to bottom position and then switch on transmitter Connect battery pack to ESC. Special tone like “123” means power supply is ok Several “beep-” tones should be emitted to present the amount of LiPO battery cells When self-test is finished, a long “beep---” tone should be emitted 5
