The Chamber’s Education Committee would like to thank all of the business participants, the students, and the LCCHS team that made the day a huge success. The 2010 Membership BBQ was held on October 14th at Alan and Sandra Hudson’s barn. It was a beautiful location and the weather was perfect. I cannot believe we are already facing another holiday season! I feel like just yesterday was BBQ & Blues! I must say I do love the holidays and the cheer that everyone spreads around. The smell of the turkey and sounds of family chattering like they haven’t seen each other in a year - that is the best part. Then the minute the turkey gobbles, the radio stations start playing Christmas music. The hus- tle and bustle of it all can be quite annoying yet we all love it just the same. This time of year is especially difficult for those struggling with the economy. As much as we need to stimulate the economy with the little bit we may have to do so with, let’s please keep in mind the reason for the season. Enjoy your family and make as many memories as you can. We never know what the next year will bring us. I am thankful for many things this year. I am thankful for my family, loved ones and friends. I am very thankful for my job as well. I love working at the Chamber and working with my board. They are awesome! I am thankful for Barnesville. We have such a beautiful town with so much to offer. Be thinking of what you are most thankful for this season and share it with the ones you are closest to. I wish you and you families a very Happy Thanksgiving! -Amanda Rose
