Elegant Angel Tutorial By Mary Ellen Stites Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator www.CreateWithME.com Make this beautiful angel to adorn your tree this season. Step 1: Using a circle template (a dinner plate in this instance) trace the circle with your stylus on 12 x 12 Cardstock( color of your choice). This circle happens to be about 10” which is what I will base this angel tutorial off of but it can be adapted to most sizes. Before tracing place circle off center so you can use excess for other pieces. Step 2: Fold your cardstock circle in half and find center using your grid paper or a ruler and mark clearly. It will be covered later so don’t worry about using a marker or pencil. Images Copyright Stampin’ Up! www.CreateWithME.com Mary Ellen Stites, Stampin’ Up! See diagram below. Step 4: It’s best to first fold all scores while circle is still in half. Fold them first forward and then backward before opening up full circle. Then you will follow the diagram on the left to create Mountain folds and Valley folds to create your angels skirt. See Diagram Below: Step 5: Put Angels skirt into the embossing folder as shown. The whole skirt is too large to fit completely in folder and doing it this way also leaves a pretty pattern on the skirt that can be embellished later with Dazzling Details. Run through the Big Shot with both Multi-‐purpose tabs open. Remember this is 6 layers thick so go nice and slow and easy, do not force. Then flip and do it again on the other side of the skirt. Emboss it with the Elegant Lines Folder and cut in Quarters. You will need 2 of these pieces for each angel. Step 6: I found it best to cut a scallop off of each “wing” then embellish with Dazzling Details as shown on top of the elegant lines embossing: Images Copyright Stampin’ Up! www.CreateWithME.com Mary Ellen Stites, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Step 7: Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to each wing and set aside. Step 8: Attach 6” strip to the back of angel’s skirt as shown with SNAIL adhesive. Then fold “arms” forward as shown here: Step 9: Attach Wings with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown. Images Copyright Stampin’ Up! www.CreateWithME.com Mary Ellen Stites, Stampin’ Up! Step 12: Attach second circle punch on back to keep head, wings and arms secure and make things look cleanly finished on back.
