National Credit Union Youth Week
April 22-26
“SAVINGS SLEUTH − Solve the Mystery”
All members 18 and under are invited the entire
week of April 22-26 to take the challenge of
learning good savings skills! This year’s theme is
“Savings Sleuths – Solve the Mystery”. Everyone
at NAECU wants to help our youth “Solve the
Mystery” and get on the right tract to financial
success. A letter is being mailed out to our CUSucceed Club and Kirby Kangaroo Club members
describing all the activities planned for April 2226, 2013. Refreshments will be served on Friday,
April 26 during Youth Week at all office locations!

Shred-It Day
NAECU is sponsoring “Shred-it Day” on
Friday, May 10, 2013. There is no cost for
the shredding service, it is being provided
in connection with Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. Limit of 40 pounds per person, paper records only please. Document
Destruction Services will be at these two

Dormant Account
Fees!
An account is considered dormant
when there has been no activity
within 12 months, total shares
below $100, no loans with credit
union; this only applies to members
age 19 and older. All of these
attributes must apply, not just one.
If your account meets all of these
criteria then you will be charged a
$5.00 monthly dormant fee. One
deposit or withdrawal per year
would prevent an account from
becoming dormant.

School Supply
Loan
Borrow up to $500 with 0% Annual Percentage Rate
(APR). Beginning July 8, 2013 we will be offering
a School Supply Loan for both parents and teachers.
We are going to help you with the supplies needed
for your students and/or classroom with (no interest)
0% APR! There is a small processing fee* for this
loan. We will automatically put this loan on payroll
deduction or direct deposit for your convenience.
*Contact a loan officer for the fee amount. Loan
based on 10 monthly payments on direct deposit or
payroll deduction of $50 per month. Loan promotion
ends September 30, 2013.

NAECU donates $5,300 to
American Red Cross
North Alabama Educators Credit Union (NAECU)
donated $5,300 to benefit the American Red Cross
in North Alabama. The money was collected
during 2012 from various fundraisers. The
employees of NAECU are committed to helping
our community. This check was presented to
Lance Wave, Major Gift Officer from the American
Red Cross at our 57th Annual Membership
Meeting on February 25, 2013.

New loans must have had at least 2 consecutive monthly
payments on the loan.
Loan balance must be $500 or more.
Payment must be $100 or more.

NAECU reserves the right to deny a skip request if prior loan
modifications have taken place during the past year.
No more than 2 payments skips per year are available.
There is a $35 fee per loan skipped.
