and the Internet, I could witness something that made me glad to be

latest top ten music videos. It wasn’t a video of karma paying back
someone who was deservedly put in their place. It wasn’t cute… it
wasn’t funny. It was so much more. It was awe inspiring.

Over the past several weeks, the evening news has shown
highlights of political unrest in Egypt, Iran and Libya. Growing
unrest is building in some of the neighbouring countries as well.
We see images of people marching in the hundreds of thousands,
demanding freedom from oppression and totalitarian governments.
The heads of these governments have done all they can to turn the
public opinion of their citizens. We’ve seen highlights of violence.
We’ve seen highlights of paid government supporters protesting
against the protesters. We’ve seen carnage. But none of the news
agencies covered this video footage.
The unrest was originally brought to a boil in Egypt. Their president
was unwilling to give up power, and instead, tried to deflect anger
at western culture and the US. This ploy had worked many times
in the past, but not this time. Through the Internet, the world is a
much smaller world and information now travels worldwide at the
speed of a click of a button. Governments can no longer control their
citizens by controlling their own media. So this time... the people of
Egypt were not buying what their president was selling.

The next move of Egypt’s desperate attempt to retain power was
to try and create a division between religions. Only nine percent of
Egypt’s citizens are Christian, so it made for an easy group to use
as scapegoats. But the president didn’t count on people of differing
religions banding together for the greater good. What happened next
should have been the headlines on the evening news. What happened
next, should have bumped all the video footage of hatred and violence
we were fed. It wasn’t sensational. There were no explosions. There
were no martyrs. The news agencies missed out on showing their
viewers the most remarkable video footage they could have ever
gotten their hands on.
The video footage taken on February 6th, 2011, has about 61,000
views worldwide as I write this. A Justin Bieber video hits millions
of views within a week. A video of some act of Darwinism would
have been in the hundreds of thousands. Yet despite this remarkable
event being caught on tape, it has received little to no recognition.

in “Christians protecting Muslims”. You will come across various
reports and video footage of Christians locking arms to form a
human shield around the square in Cairo, as their Muslim brothers
and sisters pray.
According to independent reports, Muslims also do the same to
protect the Christians from government thugs as they pray. When
you read reports and view the video footage, I am confident that your
faith in human kind will be lifted higher as was mine.
The unrest was never about religious differences. It was never about
cultural differences. It is about respect and dignity for all and the
freedoms that tolerances allow everyone, no matter race, religion or
cultures.

3 Tbsp lime juice (I actually used lemon juice)
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp honey
4 chicken breasts, halved
1 cup finely crushed tortilla chips (I used mostly hint
of lime tortilla chips, but threw in some sun chips
because I didn’t have enough tortilla chips)
1 bottle of chunky salsa
1 cup shredded cheese

1. Combine lime juice, honey and oil.
2. Dip chicken in lime juice mixture then coat with
crushed chips.
3. Place in ungreased 9x13 baking dish.

5. Spoon a tablespoon or two of salsa over each
piece of chicken and sprinkle with cheese; bake 20
minutes more or until cheese is melted.
6. Serve with guacamole and sour cream or other

telephone rang. In going to answer it, she tripped on
a rug, grabbed for something to hold on to and seized
the telephone table. It fell over with a crash, jarring
the receiver off the hook. As it fell, it hit the family
dog, who leaped up, howling and barking. The woman’s

cabinets were made they were finished in varnish which hasn’t
held up to any water or food spillage. I’d like to tackle this as
a home project. I’ve re-finished furniture in the past but won’t
want to re-do all the cabinetry in the whole kitchen, just the
areas that are not holding up. Can you lead me in the right
direction?

I would suggest a polyurethane finish which is available
to match the present sheen such as gloss, satin or could also be
further dulled. These types can be applied by brush or wipe on.
Be sure to follow directions carefully, I suggest you try a small
area first.
