FACT SHEET – Towerlane Centre – A Single Free Standing
Building, Airdrie, Alberta
LEED Core and Shell (CS) v2.0 Certification
This single free standing building, which forms part of Towerlane Centre, a shopping
centre development, is occupied by TD Canada Trust and located at the intersection of
Main Street and Centre Avenue in Airdrie, Alberta. It is owned and was developed by
First Capital Realty Inc. (FCR) and obtained LEED Core and Shell (CS) v2.0
Certification in 2015.
In keeping with FCR’s ongoing commitment to sustainable design and construction, this
free standing building located at Towerlane Centre was constructed to LEED CS v2.0.
The LEED CS v2.0 Certification comprises the base building design and construction of
one building with 535 m² or 5,759 ft² in total. FCR did not construct or fit out the
interior finishes or leaseholds of tenant premises; and as a result, they were not included
in this LEED CS v2.0 Certification. However, mandatory agreements specify that
tenants design and complete the interior of their leased premises in accordance with
LEED requirements.

renewable sources.
